Before You Begin
Thank you for downloading my Ingram MAC 11 model! I hope you enjoy putting it together and painting it. I’ve written some
assembly instructions below, which should be pretty easy to follow, please feel free to reach out to me if you have any
questions. If you like this project, please consider giving my Instagram a follow:

The lower and upper receiver will require some support materials. For the lower receiver it is mainly to support the top half at
the rear, and for the upper receiver it is mainly the ejection port.
I chose to print the smaller detailed parts in resin as you are going to get the best results, that doesn’t mean the entire model
cannot be printed on an FDM machine, but you’re likely to have some problems post processing which means you’ll lose
details.
I strong recommend printing the bullet cluster, fire selector lever, disassembly latch, safety lever, cocking handle and possibly
the barrel in resin if you can.
You will also need an M3x18 cap-head bolt and M3 nut for the cocking handle, and an M5x8 button head bolt for the grip
(note this is for looks only and is glued in place).
Painting:
I fully recommend you paint the magazine before final assembly, otherwise you will have some masking to do. You will need
to paint the bullet cluster first before assembly otherwise you won’t be able to get to it properly.
As for the rest of the gun, it is entirely up to you and follow the workflow that you’re used to. I preferred to prime and paint
parts separately, being very cautious when it came to gluing.
You will notice in my finished photos there are manufacturer markings and a logo not present in the STL files – this is because
these were laser engraved on after assembly and painting.
Magazine Assembly
Start by gluing the two magazine halves together with some
superglue. Make sure you align the top and bottom halves
correctly, there is a slight curve on the front of the magazine face(s).
Be careful not to apply too much as overspill on the inside will make
it more difficult to insert the bullet assembly later on. You can now
sand, prime and paint the magazine (don’t forget the bottom plate
too, but don’t glue that on yet!)
Paint the bullet cluster and the mount separately then glue the
bullet cluster to the top of the mount, taking note of the
orientation.
(Note: you only need to paint the top surface of the bullet mount, it will be barely
visible)
For the final assembly, the bullet cluster and mount are slid
upwards inside the completed magazine (note the orientation, the
back of the bullets should be facing the raised section at the top of
the magazine).
Afterwards, you can affix the bottom base plate – note this only
goes in one orientation, note the slight curvature)
Receiver Preparations
The holes on the lower (and upper receiver) will likely be
undersized and not perfectly round after printing, these will
need drilling out. You will need 6mm, 7mm and 8mm drill
bits in that order from the back to the front.
Upper Receiver Assembly
The extractor glues into the back of the eject port cover / bolt – it can only go in one
orientation.
The completed assembly then glues on the inside of the
upper receiver, there is a slight cut-out to help you align it
properly.
Glue on the front barrel collet, you can use the barrel to help
you align it in place, but make sure you don’t accidently glue
the barrel in yet!
The cocking handle plate glues in from the inside, again there is a
cut-out to help you align it. Make sure the hole is facing towards
the front of the upper receiver.
The cocking handle affixes to the top, you can use an M3x18mm cap-
head screw, and affix with an M3 nut from the inside.
Now you can glue on the front sight hood. Note: there is a 3mm hole
for the front sight post. I used an M3 bolt, screwed into a Nyloc nut,
then cut down to size and ground down with a rotary tool – see
pictures in Appendix A.
The order of assembly the rest of the upper receiver is sling
swivel, followed by the second barrel collet and finally the
barrel. Note the barrel should be pushed back flush on the
inside of the receiver body – that is when you know you’ve
pushed it back far enough.
Lower Receiver Assembly
The trigger is glued into the trigger mount, and
then this assembly is glued into the lower
receiver.
The magazine-well which forms part of the grip assembly is
now glued onto the lower receiver. Note, there is a correct
orientation as the magazine can only be inserted in one way –
so ensure it is facing the right direction and use the magazine
to get the correct alignment.
The grip and the magazine release is glued on as shown. You will
notice there is a hole in the back of the grip, this is for an M5x8mm
button head bolt. Personally I assembled the grip and magazine
release separately AFTER painting, as grip is black and the rest of
the gun is grey, which saves having to mask it all before painting.
Finally it’s the trigger guard, be mindful of the orientation as
pictured.
Final Assembly
Now you can put the two receiver halves together and insert the
pins. Hopefully (if you’ve read this fully before starting!) you will
have checked the fit first. You want them to be tight enough to
hold the parts together, but not so tight you can’t get them out
when test fitting!
The last parts to glue into place are the fire selector
lever, the safety (within the trigger guard), the
disassembly latch (under front barrel) and what would
have been the stock release button at the rear.
Congratulations – you’re done!
