HACKFORGE’25 PROBLEM STATEMENTS

ROUND 1

HEALTH CARE

1) Emergency Response Optimization

During a multi-car accident, ambulances are misallocated due to outdated

systems, causing critical delays in getting patients to the right hospital. This
leads to worsened conditions and preventable complications. A centralized
platform is needed to optimize ambulance dispatch, ensuring timely, appropriate
care based on patient severity and hospital capacity.

2) Mental Health Monitoring

Maya, a young professional, begins to feel overwhelmed with stress, but ignores the
signs. Over time, her mental health worsens, impacting her work and relationships.
Early detection is key, and a smart solution is needed to analyze mental health
indicators, provide early warnings, and suggest care strategies to improve well-being
before issues escalate.

TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS

3) Road Safety at Risk

Late one night, a large truck overloaded with cargo speeds down a highway, ignoring
weight limits and posing a serious threat to other drivers. The truck’s heavy load
strains the vehicle’s brakes and increases the risk of accidents. Without monitoring,
such vehicles go unnoticed, increasing road hazards. A real-time monitoring system is
needed to track the weight and speed of heavy vehicles, ensuring compliance with
safety regulations and preventing potential accidents before they happen.

4) The Shopping Dilemma

Imagine a busy retail store where customers often struggle to find specific products or
check their availability. To enhance the shopping experience, the store wants to
introduce an interactive digital interface that helps customers easily locate and book
products without relying on staff assistance. You are tasked with designing this
system, ensuring it is intuitive, responsive, and accessible to a wide range of users.
The solution should streamline the shopping process, reduce wait times, and improve
overall customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION

5) The Lab Access Challenge

Ravi is a bright student with a passion for science, but his school doesn’t have the
resources for a well-equipped lab. He struggles to fully grasp complex concepts, as he
can't conduct hands-on experiments. A virtual science lab could change this. By
offering simulation-based experiments, the app would allow Ravi to visualize and
interact with scientific concepts, providing an engaging learning experience even
without physical lab equipment.

6) The Time-Consuming Lesson Prep

Mrs. Sharma, a dedicated teacher, spends hours every week preparing

lessons—researching resources, organizing activities, and ensuring content is
engaging. This leaves her with little time to focus on individual student needs or
improving her teaching methods. An AI-powered lesson planning tool could transform
this process. By automatically generating dynamic lesson plans with diverse teaching
methods and resources, the tool would save teachers valuable time while enhancing
the learning experience for students.
