Student’s writing Teacher’s feedback

In today’s world, most animal species are on the verge of extinction due
to human’s mining activities on both land and in sea. This essay will
shed light on this phenomenon before proposing some feasible
solutions.

There are several reasons that lead to the disappearance of many

animal species. In terms of land, nowadays, people have a tendency to
destroy these animals’ living environment to have more land for their
economic production activities. To explain, most of the forest area has
been cut down to expand more land for people’s shifting cultivation,
which directly affects the animals’ lives. As a result, some animal
species lost their homeland, while others face some difficulties in
adapting to a new living environment, which can lead to the extinction
of some species. In terms of sea, coastal tourism is considered as the
main cause
of negative impacts on the lives of sea animals. To be more specific,
the huge amount of waste dumped along the coastline pollutes the
water sources and even poses a serious threat to creatures living
around this area. Besides, overfishing activities also cause severe
damage to marine life, drastically reducing the number of individuals of
each species in just a short period of time. Consequently, this leads to
mass death of marine creatures, making them stand on the verge of
extinction.

To deal with these above causes, some possible solutions should be

proposed to protect these animal species. First of all, the government
should pay more attention to these species’ lives through some
protection policies. To explain, they should provide more severe
punishments for those whose activities are destructive or harmful to
animal life and individuals such as over- exploitation of timber or
destruction of marine environment through tourism activities. Moreover,
they should provide more financial support for animal rescue
organizations and campaigns. This will help ensure the number of
individuals in a species and also protect their existence.

To conclude, while there are certain problems associated with the

disappearance of some animal species, necessary measures should be
taken to tackle them.
