EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This Executive Summary presents a comprehensive overview of my internship experience at Secure
Electronics, Mangalore, where I gained in-depth exposure to the field of embedded systems and
electronic product development. The internship offered a balanced mix of hardware design, software
integration, and hands-on troubleshooting, greatly enhancing my technical capabilities and
professional understanding.
During the internship, I contributed to two key projects. The first project was product-oriented, where
I assisted in the development and testing of a custom-designed security system involving
microcontrollers, sensors, and GSM-based communication modules. My role involved schematic
analysis, PCB design review, and firmware development using embedded C, ensuring reliable
performance and integration with peripheral devices for real-time alerts and automation.
The second project was service-oriented and involved on-site maintenance and upgrading of
electronic control units for local industries. I actively participated in the diagnosis and repair of
malfunctioning systems, firmware flashing, and calibration of embedded devices. This real-world
fieldwork strengthened my understanding of client-specific requirements, robust design principles,
and effective problem-solving under time constraints.
Overall, the internship at Secure Electronics, Mangalore, provided a strong foundation in embedded
systems, hands-on technical experience, and a clear perspective on both the product development
cycle and field service dynamics, making me well-prepared for a career in electronics and automation
engineering.
