Analysis Of Singin In The Rain
The film Singin In the Rain is directed by Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen premiered in 1952 with
the lead as Gene Kelly himself as Don Lockwood, his counter part Debbie Reynolds as Kathy
Selden, and best friend Donald O Connor as Cosmo Brown. The film portrays the studio
Monumental Pictures performers going through the transition of silent films to talkies. This musical
comedy has many different aspects of mise en scene regarding blocking, how the filmwas shot, and
costumes. In the infamous Singin In the Rain number, Gene Kelly s talented theatrical performance,
the blocking of the other characters walking into the scene, and simple pattern of film shots that
match the non diegetic tempo resulted in continuity editing making this whole musical number flow
perfectly.
This scene first starts off with Don Lockwood kissing Kathy Selden after he has walked her home
on a rainy night. After she leaves, Lockwood is filled with joy about falling in love that even on a
rainy day he says, From where I stand, the sun is shinning all over the place. The scene later starts
to play non diegetic score with Lockwood s theatrical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Lockwood is dancing and singing to the number, each cut following that pattern is made to
produce a continuity editing effect so we follow his every move. This simple pattern shows the
character being overjoyed with love and each cut takes place with the change of stanzas making it
flow and the editing look invisible. For example at the beginning, it starts off with a wide angle shot
of Lockwood walking along the sidewalk, then it dollies to a medium close up shot showing him
close the umbrella, and then back again to a wide angle shot when he starts singing. As he sings each
line, each shot continues to follow the pattern of the three throughout the entire five minute
Henry Ford Motor Company
Henry Ford incorporated Ford Motor Company on June 16, 1903 (H Staff, 2009). With 12 investors
and 1000 shares, the company had spent almost all of its $28,000 cash investment by the time it
sold the first Ford Model A on July 23, 1903 (F Staff, 2017). But by October 1, 1903, Ford had
turned a profit of $37,000 (F Staff, 2017). Henry Fordwas able to increase production thus increasing
profits by inventing the first ever assembly line (H Staff, 2009). Ford operates in the stock market
through the consumer durables sector and is a part of the motor vehicle industry with a market cap
of $42.4 billion (FT Staff, 2017). Ford Motor Companyengages in the manufacture, distribution, and

With the likes of Honda and Tesla at the fore front of innovation, there is now the competition of who
will create the most forward thinking vehicles on the market. As we see them expand globally, Ford
remains focused on building leadership in Ford Brand utility vehicles, commercial trucks, vans and
performance vehicles. At the same time, transformation of lackluster parts of its business (small cars,
luxury vehicles, etc.) is extremely crucial to the overall success of their company (Ford, 2016). Ford
realizes that with all the competition in the automotive vehicle market it is critical that they strive
for leadership in three emerging opportunity areas including electrification, autonomy and mobility
while not forgetting the solid foundation that the company was built on (Ford,
Essay about Educating Students With Emotional and Behavior...
In reading chapter seven of the textbook, the education of students with emotional and behavior
disorders was not common before the turn of the twentieth century. Before children were thought of
as having mental illnesses, many researchers thought that this was only diagnosed in adults. For a
child to be known to have a mental issue back in the nineteenth century was said to be evil or
satanic. It was very challenging to study emotional behavior disorders in children. Unfortunately,
there was no way to describe the disorder. Doctors and professional were terrified to admit that
children could have mental illnesses. In the 1960 s, schools began to service students with emotional
behavior disorders but they were generally still considered to... Show more content on

Unlike the terms being used differently, there are two federal definitions of emotional disturbance
one by IDEA and the second coined by the National Mental Health and Special Education Coalition.
In the medical profession, emotional behaviors deal with other existing factors. Some emotional
and behavior disorders are described in the medical profession as mental illnesses. These disorders
include conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and mood disorders. Students that are
identified with emotional and behavior disorders have two types of behaviors internalizing and
externalizing behaviors. However, many students with these behaviors have underlying factors
such as signs of depression, poor social skills and low or average intellectual ability. As with other
disabilities, students with emotional and behavior disorders are diagnosed with learning disabilities
and ADHD. Research cannot prove this, but there are more males diagnosed with emotional
disorders than females. When qualifying a child in public schools as having an emotional
disturbance they must be assessed informally and formally. In order for a student to meet eligibility
for this disorder, the team along with the parents must meet to see if the child meets one or more of
the characteristics to qualify.
After students qualify IDEA requires that schools use specific procedures that can be documented to
help educate

Injustices occur everyday in the world. We tend to witness injustices on a daily basis, some of them
are unnoticeable, but the ones that we do notice and we can t do anything about, makes us feel
impotent. That is what this tragic and unjust event made me feel, and in Guerrero, Mexico, that is
how the families of this 43 kidnapped students still feel. On september 2014, 43 male students went
missing in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico. The 43 students were undergraduates at Escuela Normal Rural

Nos faltan 43 (we are still missing 43), They took them alive, we want them back alive were some
of the phrases that Mexico used in their strikes to unify as a nation against the corrupt government.
The poem Buscábamos a 43 (We were looking for 43) by Jenaro Villamil, expresses the perspective
of the Mexican people. This poem presents the tragedy with a melancholic tone. This has not been
the first time that violent injustices occurred in Mexico, but this poem shows how this event led
the mexican people to realize in the violence and horror they live. Jenaro Villamil starts off the
poem with the line ¿Cuánto horror seremos capaces de conocer? (1), which translates to, how
much horror will we be capable of knowing?, this expresses how much horror they have already
experienced. This source doesn t include any specific facts or dates about the tragedy, because it
is a poem, but it does introduce how the students are seen by Mexico, as young humble victims.
The lines that I was more impacted by that Jenaro Villamil says are: Porque aún con ellos vivos,
sanos, salvos o heridos / No podemos callar A los olvidados que sembramos, which means, because
even with them alive, safe and sound, or wounded, we cannot remain silent for the forgotten that we
sowed. This segments of the poem represent the reason why the mexican people protested, and keep
protesting up to now, because even though there are no signs of their bodies, they represent a part of
the forgotten, who they are willing to still fight
Software Development Life Cycle ( Sdlc )
A software application is a program, or group of programs, that is designed for the end user.
Software engineering process collects and translates business requirements into technology
solutions, by developing software applications. Different departments have various software
applications in companies. Software development life cycle (SDLC) is a structured step by step
approach for developing information systems. It includes below major 7 steps 1. PLANNING In
this phase, solid plan to be created for developing information system. 2. ANALYSIS This phase
involves end users and IT specialists working together to gather, understand, and document the
business requirements for the proposed system. 3. DESIGN This phase frames the design of how
the proposed system should work. 4. DEVELOPMENT This phase transforms requirements into
an actual system, by using all detailed design documents from the design phase. 5. TESTING This
phase verifies whether the system works and meets all of the business requirements defined in the
analysis phase 6. IMPLEMENTATION This phase distributes the system to all of the end users and
they begin using the system to perform their everyday jobs 7. MAINTENANCE This phase
monitors and supports the new system to ensure it continues to meet the business goals Below are
the main approaches to achieve software application development 1. THE STRUCTURED

Introduction
Effective communication can be considered an art as much as a science. There are of course many
best practices that one can study to improve their ability to communicate. However, it can be
difficult to distinguish different success factors responsible for effective communication various
individual scenarios. For example, it is often hard to determine what went right or wrong in any
given conversation. However, at the same time, effective communication is generally cited as one of
the most important critical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The number of different theories serves as evidence of the level of complexity that is inherent in the
concept of leadership. Despite this complexity, virtually every leadership model states that effective
communication is among the most important success factors. This analysis will select different
leadership models and compare and contrast how these models view effective communications.
Competing theories include such perspectives as trait theory, situational theory, behavioral theory,
competencies theory, network theory of leadership and many more. This analysis will consider
transformational leadership, transactional leadership, servant leadership, and Level 5 leadership to
attempt to identify any differences and similarities in the ways these theories include effective
communication in their theories.
Transformational Leadership
Transformational leadership has been called one of the most effective among the various theories of
leadership (Judge Bono, 2000). Transformational leaders are able to encourage their teams to reach
their full potential by setting challenging expectations which into turn leads to the team achieve
higher performances (Bass, 1999). Transformational leaders are also commonly associated with
change and change management because they are able to inspire people to overcome their
Vietnam War Story Analysis
The paper focuses on the on the input side of the Vietnam War Memory in Tim O Brien s on how
to tell a true war story. Ideally, the performance of the war is a representation of an important part
of the human life as he tries to work through the traumas of life as well as the creative process
during the occurrence of the war. The main question that is raised by the story is how the writer
uses the memories of the war as the primary tools of the actualization. The other matter which is
posed in the story is how can one achieve the suspense that is based on the detachment as well as
why is it imperative for the author to the author of the story to do that in a war related piece of
work. The story by O Brien shows that this can happen by the use of the per formative side of the
war through three important episodes that are based on the VietnamConflict. There is the RatKiley s
letter, which was written to the sister who is known by the name Lemon and who was his war
friend after the death of lemon. Additionally, the narrator is telling the story of Lemons death as
well as the story of Mitchell Sanders as he does the analysis of the versions that the war had and
the experiences of the victims of the war. The characters in the war story do not deal with the
favoritism that is attached to the emotions as well as the failure of the memories of the war that
echo the Nietzsche s point which is based on the life after the war that needs one to have an
avoidance on the wrong things

At this point we have seen sales over time development and a simple regression analysis, next is
need to see which variables possible has effects on sales.
For that next is developed a correlation matrix analysis to explore the possible correlations that exist
between variables a possible explanations.
Correlation matrix are shown graphically (See annex for full results). Blue represents positive and
significant correlation, as blue is darker means that this relationship is stronger. Lighter blue means
week relationship. White means no relationship.
By a brief review we can see next assumptions. Gross sales are highly influenced by orders and add
cart (regression analysis confirmed it). Visits are highly influenced by bounces, this means a high
amount of visitors just visit one page. However also visits are highly explained by Visits are also
explained in a different way; distinct sessions explain a good amount of visitors, that means visitors
are generally diverse and different.
Conclusions and possible future analysis.
Analysis has been through different stages. Initially, the general sales overview of 2013 has shown
that sales exhibit a cycle effect. To ensure this as an assumption, we require to analyze data from
other years.
Correlation analysis has shown a high and almost total relationship between orders and sales, this
explains that most of orders are not cancelled or affected by a return policy.

Animal Farming In Bangladesh Essay
In Bangladesh, livestock is one of the most potential sub sectors of agriculture which plays an
indispensable role in promoting human health and national economy of the country. Livestock not
only assists to upgrade the financial condition but also makes a substantial contribution to human
nutrition. However, livestockis an integral part of a farming system which has a better contribution to
enhancing the economy of Bangladesh. Large ruminants (Cattle and Buffalo) and small ruminants
(sheep and goat) constitute the major portion of livestock. The present population of livestock is
23.7 million cattle, 1.47 million Buffalo, 25.76 million goats and 3.3 million sheep (DLS, 2015
16). The total contribution of livestock sub sector to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Bangladesh
is approximately 7.23% and livestock in agricultural production 17.32% (Anonymous, 2007). It also
generates 13% of foreign currency and provides 20% fulltime employment and 50% partial
employment of rural population (Alam, 1993). In this country, 80% rural people are involved with
livestock farming (Siddiki et al., 2009). Most animals are reared in houses under the traditional
husbandry practices where small ruminant especially goat and sheep are mainly reared for several
reasons including meat, wool and skin production (Hossain et al., 2004). The production and
productivity of animals are greatly hampered by different diseases including gastrointestinal parasitic
infections.Gastrointestinal parasitismis a
Cultural Diversity At Washington Elementary School
For my 5th EDUC Lab, I had to go to a local elementary school and take a walk around its
neighborhood. I was told to observe cultural diversity, types of homes surrounding the school, and
answer a variety of questions regarding the kinds of students that attend the school. I was originally
a bit baffled by the kinds of questions on the sheet like are there any apartmentbuildings near by? or
where do the children get food? I thought to myself Why do these things matter to a school? And
then as I was going through my walk, I realized that these factors determine the kids of resources the
children have to receive a quality education, and these factors also influence the kinds of resources
the school has to give the children. I never knew such minute details could have such a heavy impact
on education.
I decided to visit Washington Elementary School in Pocatello. I chose to tour this school s
neighborhood because it was close to my own home, and I have no relations with this elementary
school whatsoever. This school was set directly in the middle of a neighborhood, so I believe the
majority of students that attend this elementary school, also live in the neighborhood. The houses
varied from being very nice and well kept homes to a little more run down, but the majority of the
neighborhood looked like a typical middle class neighborhood. There were a few apartment
complexes within the neighborhood and there were a lot of for rent signs outside of houses. There
were a few
What Are The Effects Of The 1992 LA Riots

Smashed Windows and Snipped Ties Mahatma Gahndi once said, An eye for an eye will only make
the whole world blind. Hatred blinds people from acknowledgment and acceptance, and instead
steers people towards ignorance. Quarreling amongst citizens of the United States is not an
uncommon occurrence, especially when the topic focuses on racial backgrounds and biases. The
LA Riot of 1992 is no exception to this category of discourse. A black person beaten up by a group
of policemen was a usual event that happened frequently. Rodney King s arrest was a special case. In
a drunken state, King led the police on a high speed chase through the streets of Los Angeles ( Riots

Although the violence that day was severe and did not particularly benefit LA financially nor
socially, this day marked a change from the culture of hate and stereotypes to eventually understand
and quell the tensions in backgrounds. There is a necessity to contemplate on explosive events like
the LA Riots in order to not repeat the same mistakes. Otherwise, how could the United States of
America be associated with unison when the government and citizens raise hell over colors of the
skin? There are still hate crimes brewing in this country of freedom and a tone of animosity on the
political stage that is even present in every day news channels. The LA Riot of 1992 is only a single
event. However, the outcomes brought mixed reviews. On one hand, the Riot revitalizes the
minority communities to stand up against oppression.
Brand Loyalty
Brand Loyalty
One of the most desirable traits that marketers would like to see in the consumers they are
positioning their product towards is loyalty to their brand. Brand loyalty can be defined as the extent
of the faithfulness of consumers to a particular brand, expressed through their repeat purchases,
irrespective of the marketing pressure generated by the competing brands. (Business Dictionary,
2012) An expression of brand loyalty from consumers can help companies to experience significant
growth not only through repeat purchases, but also word of mouth: brand loyal consumers who talk
among their peers about their purchasing behaviour may talk positively about the brand they like,
which allows these consumers to try these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
