➤ Describe your personal or professional reason for choosing the topic—this can

include observations, current issues, or personal interest.

➤ Summarize what other researchers have found that is related to your topic.

These should support the idea that the topic has academic value and practical

relevance.

➤ Highlight what existing studies have not yet addressed. This gap is what your
