HISTORY OF PHOTOGRAPHY
1. Photography started in the early 1800s with the camera obscura, a device that projected images
onto surfaces. In 1826, Joseph Nicéphore Niépce took the first permanent photograph. In 1839,
Louis Daguerre created the daguerreotype, the first widely used photography method.

2. In the 1840s, William Henry Fox Talbot invented the calotype, which allowed for making multiple
copies from a negative. In the 1850s, the wet collodion process made photos clearer and easier to
produce. In 1888, George Eastman introduced the Kodak camera, making photography simple for
the general public.

3. Color photography appeared in 1907 with the Autochrome process, and in the 1920s, the 35mm
film camera became popular.

4. The digital era began in the 1990s, with digital cameras and later smartphones making
photography even more accessible. Today, almost everyone has a camera on their phone, and
photography is part of daily life.

performance).
3. Tripod: Provides stability for sharp images, especially in low light or for
long exposures.
4. Memory Cards: High-speed, high-capacity cards to store your photos and
videos, ensuring you don’t run out of space during a shoot.
5. External Flash: Enhances lighting in low-light environments or helps with
creative lighting in portraiture and other photography types.
Photo Editing and Post-Processing

warmer).
• Saturation and Vibrance: Adjust the intensity of colors in the image.
2. Cropping: Removing unwanted parts of the image to improve
composition and focus on the subject.

3. Sharpening:Enhances the details and edges in the image to make it
