Role : Application Developer

The Bank of Montreal is a Canadian multinational investment bank and financial services company.
The bank operates as BMO Bank of Montreal and has more than 900 branches, serving over seven
million customers. In the United States, it does business as BMO Financial Group, where it has
substantial operations in the Chicago area and elsewhere in the country, where it operates BMO Harris
Bank. BIW2 Migration project is code migration project. We have migrated complete abinitio code to
Netezza using SSIS.

Responsibilities:

⮚ Worked on migration project to migrate complete file system base abinitio architecture to SSIS and
code migration as well.
⮚ Designed ETL processes involving various source and target systems through standard and custom
interfaces. This includes extraction and loading of data from relational databases like (DB2, SQL
SERVER, Oracle), Mainframe data using Cobol copybooks and fixed-length flat files, data from
hierarchical file formats like XML and JSON, data from REST web services.
⮚ Designed custom base template in SSIS using C# code, using C# code we log the SQL’s code
which are being executed at database.
⮚ Once execution is completed, we used to send mail to support team all the SQL’s list which has
been logged on SQL server through mail so that it would be very easier for support team to track
the failure code.
⮚ I have built custom audit framework using C# code to report data missing while being moved the
data from source to staging and then staging to target by doing aggregation’s on fact numbers if
we found any difference in numbers between source and target we would report back to end users.
⮚ I have also developed the SSIS package to purge the data on target tables base on retention
policy, purging the data files on archive folder as well base on retention policy.
