Sub:- Request to forward postal address details of Shri. K. Jaya Kumar
(Assistant Commissioner, Retired), presently settled down in
Kochi.

It is to inform that Shri. K. Jaya Kumar, Assistant Commissioner,


(now, Retired) while working in Medchal GST Commissionerate, Hyderabad
Zone as AC (Legal and Prosecution) in the year 2018, had signed and filed
a Criminal Petition in the case of M/s. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories before the
Economic Offences Court, Nampally, Hyderabad on behalf of the
Department and the case has come up for hearing in the before the
Special Judge, EOC on 02.09.2024.

2. Please find enclosed herewith the mail correspondence dated


31.07.2024 wherein this office has informed Shri. K. Jaya Kumar (Assistant
Commissioner, Retired) for his attendance before the Hon’ble Economic
Offences Court, Nampally, Hyderabad on 12.08.2024 and the subsequent
mail correspondence with the retired Officer. In this connection, the
Officer is to be served with the summons to be issued by the Hon’ble
Special Judge, EOC for his attendance in the Ernakulam EOC Court,
Ernakulam through Virtual Mode. The address of the Officer in Kochi is
required for sending him the summons and other material correspondence
of the file to enable him to attend the virtual hearing on the said date. It
is pertinent to state that the Officer being the Prime Witness No. 1 of the
case, his attending the hearing and confirming the submission made in the

Criminal Complaint is of paramount importance for sustaining the case
filed by the Department.

3. In this connection, this office had requested the officer to provide


his address details, but this office has not received the same till date. It is
learnt that the Officer had retired from Trivandrum/Thiruvananthapuram
Commissionerate as per his mail dated 03.08.2024 (copy enclosed
herewith). The Officer it appears after retirement had settled down in
Kochi, Kerala.

4. The postal address details of the Officer is required by this Office for
making further correspondence in respect of the case with the Officer.
Hence, it is requested to forward the postal address details as informed by
the Officer at the time of his retirement from the records of
Thiruvananthapuram Commissionerate.

5. The matter may please be treated as MOST URGENT and the


information provided by return mail as the case is posted for next hearing
on 02.09.2024 by the Hon’ble Special Judge, EOC, Nampally, Hyderabad.
