RULES FOR COLLEGE EVENTS


1. GROUP DISCUSSION
 Individual participation.
 Any number of participants from a college.
 Topic will be announced at the venue 30 min. before commencement of event.
 Participants can take part in the discussion either for or against in English /
Tamil
 Merit of participants will be decided by a panel of judges based on the points,
presentation, command, language and coordination with fellow participants.
 If participants are more in number then there will be elimination rounds.
 Group will be decided by lot basis.
2. QUIZ
 Maximum two teams per college and two participants in each team.
 There will be preliminary / elimination round if there are more groups.
3. STORY WRITING (English / Tamil)
 Topic will be given at the time of competition.
 Duration 1 hour. First 15 minutes for preparation and next 45 minutes for writing.
 Paper will be provided

4. GROUP SONG
 Maximum 2 groups per college
 Group of minimum 5 participants and maximum 8.
 Duration: maximum 4 minutes.
 No musical instruments allowed.

5. THEME RANGOLI - Theme: “Unite for Good”


(Fusing art and culture to celebrate unity for a better world.)
 Any number of teams per college.
 2 members per team
 Duration: 1 hour.
 Presentation should be strictly based on above theme.

7. DUMB CHARADES
 Maximum 2 teams per college and 3 participants in a team.
 2 team members to deduce the answer, while third member acts out clues
strictly without lip movements.

8. POEM WRITING - ENG


 Topic will be given 10 mins beore the event.
 Duration 30 mins.
 Paper will be provided.
 Theme, language & presentation will be taken into account.

9. Cryptic Hunt
 Team of two participants
 Any number of teams from a college
 Time is the factor of deciding
 A Cryptic Hunt is a problem-solving event where participants decode clues or
solve puzzles that lead them to the next clue, location, or answer.
10. GROUP DANCE
 Maximum 2 groups per college
 A group of Minimum 4 and maximum 9 participants.
 Duration: Maximum 5 minutes.
 Use of inflammable items is strictly prohibited. Any obscene movements will
also disqualify the group.
 CD/Pen drive should contain only that particular song, for which the participants
are performing.
 Accident prone risky moments like hanging from the roof is prohibited.
 Settings & additional lighting are not permitted
 Performance will be strictly as per drawn lot.
 Once event starts, no further registration.

REGISTRATION FEE: Rs. 130/- per event per participant


GENERAL RULES
1. The committee will decide whether to conduct an event or not if the number
of participants/teams is inadequate.
2. Only regular college, polytechnic or school students can participate. Please
bring the letter of authorisation and Identity Card.
3. A student can participate in any number of events.
4. Mobile Phones strictly prohibited. If violated, participant will be disqualified.
5. Necessary materials & props to be brought by the participants
6. The decision of the judges and the Organising Committee will be final and
binding, regarding the conduct of the Events, Results and Prizes.
