BASE. Applications of big data analytics in various industries

INTRODUCTION TO HADOOP: Hadoop: Introducing Hadoop. Data warehouse versus
Hadoop, RDBMS versus Hadoop, Distributed computing challenges, History of Hadoop, Apache
Hadoop and Hadoop ecosystem, Hadoop overview, Hadoop distributors, HDFS, Processing Data
with Hadoop, managing resources and applications with Hadoop, Interacting with Hadoop
Ecosystem

INTRODUCTION TO MAPREDUCE AND SPARK: MapReduce: Introduction to
MapReduce, Analysing the data with Hadoop, Mapper, reducer, combiner, partitioner, searching,
sorting, compression.
Introduction of Apache Spark, Apache Spark Architecture and Components, Spark vs Hadoop.
Overview of Data streaming (Kafka).

NO SQL DATABASES: Introduction to NoSQL: SQL VS NOSQL, NOSQL data models,
aggregates data models, key-value and document data models, relationships, graph databases,
schema less databases.

Introduction to Hive, and Cassandra: Introduction to Hive, Running Hive, Comparison with
traditional database, Hive Query Language, Tables Querying Data, Overview of Pig, Comparison
