Swirl air
Δp: -3 - 12 mbar
Flame base:
300-800 mm
The central located swirl air nozzle generates a tangential air stream which stabilizes
the conical emerging coal dust. Furthermore, it creates recirculation of hot kiln gases
towards the base of the flame. This leads to a fast and complete ignition of the fuel.

Jet Air
The axial jet air nozzles ring generates jet air streams with near sonic velocity. The jet air works like
an injector and mixes hot secondary air into the fuel, which leads to accelerated combustion.

PYRO-JET Burners – A worldwide success
¾ From the first installation in the early eighties, the PYRO-JET Burner has been
installed in over 500 cement plants worldwide
¾ Over twenty burners with the new, compact nozzle design are now running
since 2003
¾ The cooling tube for increased refractory lifetime and easy maintenance has
been well accepted by plant operators
