1. Relative Reference: A relative reference is used to repeat the same calculation in different cells
easily. Example: copying =A1+B1 from row1 to row 2 changes it to =A2+B2
2. Absolute Reference: An absolute reference in Excel ,marked with a dollar sign ,remains constant
when a formula is copied to other cells. For example: $A$1 always refers the cell A1.
3. Mixed Reference: A mixed reference in excel locks either the row or column but not both. For
example $B1 locks the column while the row changes and B$1 locks the row while the column
changes.
