Lesson 1: Getting started

I OBJECTIVES
By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to:

III PROCEDURES
Teacher organises a Tet fair called “Đoán đúng trúng lì xì”
There are 5 booths at the Tet fairs: TÁO VI HÀNH, CÂU ĐỐI ĐỎ, TẾT GÕ CỬA,
CÀNH MAI VÀNG, BÁNH CHƯNG XANH. In each booth, students will have to
complete the challenges to get the lucky money envelopes with secret things inside.
Students try to get all the envelopes for the final mission at the end of the lesson.
1. BOOTH 1: TÁO VI HÀNH

a. Objectives
 To create an active atmosphere in the class before the lesson
 To lead into the new unit
 To know more about new year around the world
b. Content
Watch a video: “New year around the world”
c. Expected outcomes
Ss learn more about new year celebrations around the world.

 To raise awareness of recycling rubbish and turn them into decorations for Tet
holiday

 Do DIY project and watch a virtual art gallery

 Students can make chung cakes and tet cakes from used carton boxes
 Know more about other ethnic groups’ celebrations for Tet holiday
