The ZCP have 32 units. Each unit consists of a key, two indicators and a label. The key is for
start/stop control. Device labels can be stuck on the right side of the keys, marking corresponding
names. Zone indication and manual intervention panel can complete the following functions through
defining.
[Link] Zone Indication
a) LEDs
Fire: Red. It illuminates when a fire occurs in the zone.
Fault/Disable: Amber. It flashes when there is any fault in the zone. If all devices in this zone
are disabled, the LED illuminates steadily. It goes out after the trouble is cleared or the
FACP is reset.
b) The key of a zone is used to activate/stop sounders in the zone.
[Link] Device Operation (Start/Stop)
a) Command LED: Red. It illuminates when start command is given and goes out when stop
command is given or the FACP resets.
b) Key: Pressing to start/stop a device.
[Link] SILENCE Key:
a) Command LED: It lights after the key pressed. If new alarm comes, the FACP is reset or
SILENCE key is pressed again, the LED goes out.
b) Key: Press the key in fire state to silence all sounders, press again to resume the alarm.
4.2 Configuration
Main board
Main board is the core of the FACP, which contains CPU and interfaces to other main parts and
optional parts.
Interface board
It is signal interface board of the FACP, which has communication port, detecting port, fire alarm
output port, fault output port etc. The interface board connects field devices and the FACP into a
complete fire alarm system.
Loop module
The loop module provides an interface for Class A loop detection.
Power supply
It provides power to the main board, loop interface board and printer. The built-in battery charger
connecting to 24V backup batttery ensures the system continuously work in case of power fault.
Display and operation part
This part is used to indicate the status of the system, and carry out relative operations through
keypad (browsing, setting, disabling and etc).
Zone indication and manual intervention panel (ZCP)
The ZCP is to make zonal indicate of fire alarm, fault/disable state, start/stop a device or make a
global silence.

6 Standard RS-232 interface connecting with GUI.
Note: A RS-232 card should be ordered as a commissioning tool. Only with this card, the
system definitions can be downloaded from PC.
4.3.2 Modules
The addressable input module I-9300 module is to monitor signal from field equipment, and
transmits the information to the control panel. I-9301 single I/O module connects with the equipment
controlled by the control panel, such as smoke exhauster, fan blower and fire valve. It can also
receive the feedback signal from this equipment.
isolator can automatically reset the isolated part and put it back into normal operation.
The software has the functions of editing and downloading system definition of device and C&E
equation. The definitions should be done and downdloaded to the panel via RS232 card before the
system starts operation.
Before installation, check the appearance of GST200 for the following items:
Check Engineering Configuration
Check the configuration according to packing list. The main items to be examined are: installation
and operation manual, keys to the control panel, etc.
Check Internal Configurations and Interconnection of the Control Panel
All internal parts have been connected completely (including optional units) before the control
panel leaves the factory. Therefore, mainly check the following items: zone indication and manual
intervention panel and power supply. Check the connection among parts, including the connection
between main board and power supply, switch board and loop interface board, zone indication
and manual intervention panel with switch board, speaker and main board etc. Please refer to
Appendix 1.
Fig. 5-1
After installation, apply power to the FACP as shown in Fig. 5-2. Turn on the main and standby
power supply in the cabinet and check if the control panel can carry out self-test. The items to be

All GST addressable devices (excluding addressable sounder bases) have individual base for only
wiring and fixing. Install and wire the bases to make complete loop. The connections please refer
to individual manual of each device. The sounder base and and isolators (including isolator bases)
should not be connected before insulation test.
All cable circuits including loop, sounder circuit and F.P.E. circuit should be checked before any
device installed. The items to check include continuouty, insulation and connection resistance.
Because the high voltage for testing insulation may damage the devices, so the testing must be
carried out before connect any device (base without electronic component has no problem during
testing).
Insulation resistance measured within the circuits and between circuits to ground should be more
than 20MΩ. Risistance of single line cable is relevant with cable size and connection quality.
Caution: Do not Apply power until you have completed all input and
output connections. Failure to do so may result in injury!

The setup file of GST-DEF software is named [Link]. Double-click this file and following the
installation wizard will install it into the PC.
[Link] Connection of PC with the FACP
The software can work offline for defining in the office, only connecting to the panel for downloading
the definitions. The definition downloading needs a RS232 communication card.
Connect the 232 card to the extend port of the FACP main board using ribbon cable (Fig. 5-11) and
connect it with the PC using a 3-core shield cable with DB9F plugs at both ends. The 3-core shield
cable is made as in Fig. 5-9. Maximum length of the cable is 15m. The connection is shown in Fig.

9. Battery Calculation
Below is a simple formula for calculating the standby battery capacity of GST200 is as follows:
Battery Capacity (Ah) = (0.46 + 0.0008 X N) X T1 + 3.5 X T2
In which N is the number of devices, and T1 is the time requirement of operation in minitor state,
T2 is for alarming state.
10. Cautions
The panel must be properly grounded to ensure safety.
The panel must be maintained or repaired by authorized skilled person.
