TO:

MADAM BRENDA. K
CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER.
From:
SSENOGA DENIS
CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR

Date: 11th/09/2025

Subject: Bi-Weekly Progress Report.

Please find below a summary of this week's key operational
activities and updates.
1. Heat Insulation Installation Project Review
The installation of the heat insulation is complete. However, the final appearance
differs from the initial expectation. As we had correctly foreseen, the original
method of removing the iron sheets to install the insulation underneath proved
to be cost-prohibitive and risky. We received three people, all of which indicated
that removing the existing sheets would likely cause significant damage,
necessitating the purchase of costly replacements and extending the project
timeline considerably.
A decision was made to proceed with an alternative method that did not require
removing all the iron sheets. As we had initially discussed, this compromise
means the final aesthetic result is not as clean as the ideal method would have
produced. The installer worked diligently to achieve the best possible result
under these constraints. The primary function of heat reduction has been
successfully achieved.
2. The Need of Gutter System and Outlets
We have identified a crucial issue with the gutter system. The previous leakages
were initially addressed with silicone, but water continues to overflow. This is not
due to leakage but to insufficient water drainage capacity. The primary cause is
that one outlet was previously closed, and the large surface area of the roof
collects water at a high volume and speed during rainfall.
The only effective solution to prevent further overflow is to install PVC pipe
outlets along the gutters. This will provide the necessary drainage capacity and
resolve the chronic overflow issue, and I recommend we prioritize this repair.

3. Congo House of Prayer Construction Update

Progress on the compound's retaining wall and ground leveling continues as
planned. The work is underway, and we anticipate completion within the next 5
to 7 days. Once finished, the remaining tasks will be including planting grass and
paving.
Additionally, the installation of toilet seats in all rooms has been completed. All
other necessary toilet and bathroom accessories have also been installed.
4. Kenya House of Prayer (Doctor's House) Power Backup Installation
The installation of the new inverter and battery system at the doctor's house
(Kenya House of Prayer) was successfully completed yesterday. The work
included setting up the new inverter, battery, lights, and a photocell sensor. The
system is now operational and functioning well.
3. Critical Challenges Impacting Progress
Despite the progress made, we are facing significant hurdles that are causing
delays and affecting workflow.
3.1. Procurement Delays
As requested and approved in the last requisitions , several crucial materials are
urgently needed to maintain our schedules. These items have not yet been
purchased and delivered to the site.
4. Conclusion and Recommendations
While the team has made substantial progress this week, the ongoing
procurement and payment issues pose a serious risk to our project timeline and
budget.
I recommend
 Expediting the purchase and delivery of the previously requested and
approved materials.
