Product
POLYED5 is a construction of Clear Lamination or Clear Lacquer (Optional), Printing
inks on Gloss White Thermal Transfer Polyester Film with self-acrylic adhesive & back release
liner, suitable for use in a wide range of durable label applications that offer excellent moisture
resistance and thermal stability. These label products utilize an excellent firm acrylic adhesive
which offers excellent chemical resistance and holding strength even at high temperatures on a
variety of surfaces including high surface energy (HSE) & Low Surface Energy (LSE) plastics,
textured and contoured surfaces, powder coatings and slightly oily metals. This is suitable for
both indoor and outdoor applications.

Chemical Resistance:
The properties defined are based on immersions at room temperature (72°F/22°C) unless
otherwise noted. Samples were applied to stainless steel panels 24 hours prior to immersion
and were evaluated twenty-four hours after removal from the solution for peel adhesion.

Printing / Converting:
Face stock is top coated for improved ink receptivity and is designed for
thermal transfer printing with UL approved resin ribbons. It is printable by all
standard roll processing methods including flexography, hot stamp, letterpress, and
screen printing.
Ink/ribbon testing is always recommended before production. Sharp film
tooling preferably in flat-bed, are important to ensure smooth conversion. Need to
avoid too much re-winding tension to eliminate adhesive ooze out.

One year from the date of manufacture when Stored at 23±2°C & 50±5%RH.
