9.7.5 CPU board replacement procedure
[Link] Acquiring a backup and replacing the board
(1) Connect ConfigTool to the instrument.
(2) When the setting values of the common items are being displayed, click the [Export] button
at the bottom left of the screen, and save the “UnitSettingData#_TS-01” (*in case of TS-01)
file at any arbitrary location.
(3) Click the “Operation Test” button at the top right of the screen.
(4) When the adjustment screen appears, click the [Export] button at the bottom left of the
screen, and save the “UnitAdjustmentData#_TS-01” (*in case of TS-01) file at any arbitrary
location.
(5) Press and hold the secondary power switch of the analyzer to shut down the secondary
power, and then turn OFF the primary power.
(6) Replace the CPU board.
At this time, make sure only dip switch 1
on the new board is OFF.
(7) Turn ON the primary power of the instrument after replacing the CPU board.
XN-9000/XN-9100 (BT-50) S/M 9-7-13
[Link] Installing the software
Caution:
If, by mistake, the software of a different unit is written on the board (for example,
the software of the TS-01 is written on the TA-01 board), it is possible to use the
unit as the unit of the software that is written later, if initialization is performed using
dip switch “7”.
(1) Set the IP address of the PC on which
ConfigTool is running to “[Link]”.
At this time, make a note of the original IP
address.
Note:
This task is necessary because the IP
address of the CPU board during
shipment is “[Link]”.
(2) Copy the version upgrade file saved in the
installation DVD to any folder on the PC
(the figure shows an example for the
TA-01/TS-01).
(3) Double-click “[Link]” under the [Install] folder in the file copied in step (2). (The figure
below shows the configuration tree of the installation DVD)
XN-9000/XN-9100 (BT-50) S/M 9-7-14
(4) A screen indicating that installation is in
progress is displayed.
(5) After installation ends, turn OFF the primary power.
* The screen indicating that installation is in progress automatically closes when installation
ends.
(6) Return the IP address of the PC that was changed in step (1) to the original IP address.
(7) Turn OFF dip switches “1” and “7” on the
CPU board.
(8) Turn ON the primary power, and wait for approximately 20 seconds for the buzzer to start
buzzing.
(9) After the buzzer starts buzzing, turn OFF the primary power.
XN-9000/XN-9100 (BT-50) S/M 9-7-15
(10) Turn ON dip switch “7” on the CPU board
so that only dip switch “1” is turned OFF.
(11) From the jig setting screen of ConfigTool, set the maintenance address to “[Link]”, and
click save. Make a note of the original IP address.
Caution:
At this time, the IP address of the CPU board is 169.254.... due to initialization of
the CPU board. Therefore, the address of ConfigTool must also be set to
“[Link]”.
(12) Open Maintenance after connecting ConfigTool to the instrument.
When the common items screen opens after turning ON the primary power and secondary
power, click the [Import] button at the bottom left of the screen, and import the
UnitSettingData file saved in step (2) in [Link].
The locations where the value has changed after import are displayed in green, so click the
[Update] button for each section. Perform this task for all the setting menus (such as the unit-
specific items and work cycle).
(13) When the adjustment screen is displayed after clicking the Operation Test button at the top
right of the screen, click the [Import] button at the bottom left of the screen, and import the
UnitAdjustmentData file saved in step (4) in [Link].
(14) Turn OFF the primary power of the instrument.
(15) From the jig setting screen of ConfigTool, return the maintenance address to the original IP
address.
Thereafter, again enter the maintenance menu, and in this state, turn ON the primary power
and secondary power of the instrument, and make sure that ConfigTool is connected to the
instrument.
(16) Turn OFF the primary power of the instrument and exit ConfigTool.
(17) Turn ON the primary power and secondary power of the instrument, and make sure the initial
operation is performed normally and the instrument is in the standby state.
