Human Resource Development

Human resource development (HRD) involves organized activities designed to produce behavioral changes in employees. It includes training and development to improve short-term job skills, management training, career development to help employees progress to higher levels of achievement, and organizational development to improve organizational effectiveness. HRD benefits organizations by shaping employee attitudes, enhancing competencies, increasing motivation and satisfaction, and improving performance. However, it also requires the investment of time and financial resources and may not be effective if the company faces financial losses.
