HOW TO WRITE AN INTRODUCTION
An introduction has two basic parts:
1) Make a general statement
A general statement is an opinion the writer has about the
topic. This can have no limits as of space, time, etc.
2) State thesis (future tense) or purpose (infinitive)
The thesis or purpose is what the writer wants to prove or
discuss or argue. This must have a limit in space, time, etc.

Suppose your topic is the use of marijuana, then:
Step 1: General statement:
Young boys and girls around the world are having serious
problems lately with the use of drugs in a general sense.
They are having access to all kinds of drugs possibly
because the means of transportation and communication
nowadays are very rapid and allows them to have access to
all the drugs they may want……………..

In this paper I will discuss the use of marijuana in boys
