Four Groups of Musical Instruments

The document summarizes four groups of musical instruments: stringed, brass, woodwind, and percussion. Stringed instruments produce sound through bowing or plucking strings. Brass instruments use a mouthpiece to blow air into tubes made of metal. Woodwind instruments are generally made of wood and use a mouthpiece and holes to produce sound. Percussion instruments make sound through striking, shaking, or plucking and have no definite pitch. Examples are provided for instruments in each group.
