• What is Artificial Intelligence?

• Types of AI

• Applications of AI

• Challenges of AI
WHAT IS
ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE?
• Artificial intelligence is the ability of a computer or computer-controlled
robot to perform tasks that are commonly associated with the intellectual
processes characteristic of humans, such as the ability to reason.
• It also refers to the ability of any machines which can simulate the
intelligences of higher organisms.

AI
MACHINE
LEARNING
• Machine learning is a type of AI that enables machines to learn from data
and deliver predictive models.
• The ML is not dependent on any explicit programming but the data fed into
it. it is a complicated process.
• Based on the data you feed into ML algorithm and the training given to it,
an output is delivered.
• A predictive algorithm will create a predictive model.
DEEP LEARNING
• Deep learning is a subfield of machine learning that is concerned with
algorithms inspired by the brains structure and functions known as
artificial neural networks.
• A computer model can be taught using deep learning to run
classification actions using pictures, texts or sound as input
NARROW AI
• It is designed to perform specific tasks or solve narrow problems within
a limited domain. It is focused on a single task and does not possess
general intelligence.
• Examples include virtual personal assistants e.g., Siri, Alexa,
recommendation systems e.g., Netflix recommendations, image
recognition systems, and chatbots
GENERAL AI
• This refers to AI systems with human-like cognitive abilities. These systems
would be capable of understanding, learning, reasoning, and adapting to a wide
range of tasks and environments.
• General AI remains a hypothetical concept and has not been achieved yet. It
represents the goal of creating AI systems with broad and flexible intelligence
comparable to human intelligence.
NATURAL LANGUAGE
PROCESSING
• This is a branch of AI that focuses on enabling computers to understand, interpret,
and generate human language. NLP techniques are used in tasks such as language
translation, sentiment analysis, text summarization, and chatbots.
• Recent advancements in NLP have been driven by deep learning techniques such as
Transformers and pre-trained language models like BERT and GPT.
REINFORNCEMENT
LEARNING
• Reinforcement learning is a type of machine learning where an agent learns to make
decisions by interacting with an environment. The agent receives feedback in the
form of rewards or penalties based on its actions, and its goal is to learn to maximize
cumulative rewards over time.
• Applications include game playing, robotics, autonomous vehicle control, and
recommendation systems.
