Abstract

 This project introduces Inventory management and uses the seamless connection among enterprises over
the internet, thereby achieving the aim of a proper inventory management system, so it is a feasible and
effective way to analyse the number of stocks.

 This paper mainly designs an inventory management system model based on multiple users access so
that different authenticated users can manage and modify the stock.

 Create monthly, weekly, and daily stack updates and keep track of which stock items sell high and which
don't.
Introduction

 Inventory management is a critical aspect of any


business that deals with physical goods.

 Effective inventory management ensures that a business


can efficiently track and manage its inventory levels,
minimize the risk of overstocking or stockouts, and
optimize its supply chain operations.

 One of the key components of inventory management is


an accurate and efficient billing system that allows
businesses to keep track of their sales and manage
customer accounts.

Problem Statement

1 After analyzing many existing IMS we have now the obvious vision of
the project to be developed.

2 We defined our problem statement as to make an application which


should be easily accessible from web which should support from Small to
Large Organization.

manner.

4 To cover all the areas of IMS like purchase details, sales details and stock
management.

 To make the stock manageable and simplify the use of inventory in the organization.

 Manual Processes: Dependency on manual data entry for inventory management and billing,
leading to errors and inefficiencies.

 Data Inconsistency: Difficulty in maintaining consistent and accurate data across various records
and documents.

 Limited Access: Restricted accessibility and sharing of information due to lack of a centralized
system.

 Time-Consuming: Time-consuming processes for managing inventory, generating bills, and


retrieving information.

 Lack of Analytics: Absence of analytical tools to derive insights from inventory data for strategic
decision-making.
Proposed System and Advantages
 User Authentication and Authorization: Secure login and role-based access control for
different users (e.g., admin, staff).

 Inventory Management: Add, edit, and delete products in the inventory with details like
name, category, quantity, price, etc.

 Order Management: Create and manage customer orders, track order status, and generate
invoices. Link products from the inventory to customer orders for accurate billing.

 Billing and Invoicing: Generate bills and invoices for customer orders, including tax
calculations and discounts if applicable. Maintain a billing history for reference and
auditing.

 Reporting and Analytics: Generate various reports for data-driven decision-making.


System Architecture
IMPLEMENTATION
1. Open any preferred browser like Chrome, Firefox.
2. Open [Link] in URL.
3. The Login page will appear in the browser.

4. Once after the login, the site will be authenticated.


5. Post the authentication, the Dashboard page will appear .
6. When you click on the product page, the products added in the database
appear

7. This is the page where you can manage all the product’s data like counts, Brand and
Category
8. When you click Settings, the settings panel will open where you can manage the username and
password.
Conclusion
• To conclude, Inventory Management System is a web based application

basically suitable for small to mid-tier organization.

• It has every basic items which are used for the organization's data storage

requirement. Our team is successful in making the application where we can

update, insert and delete the item as per the requirement.

• This application also provides a simple report on daily basis to know the daily

sales, quantity of the stocks and purchase details.

• This application matches for any industries that involves in the storage or

stock managements.
