The Golden Standard is a description of the socio-demographic structure of the Belgian population and serves as a reference for all CIM studies. It is part of the CIM Virtual Population, a large database with as many rows as there are inhabitants in Belgium. It is freely accessible to everyone, for example to set up the sampling frame for a market research study, to assess the representativeness of a study or simply to browse through... In the application below you can choose your universe and various filters.

Key results
- The first page shows the number of men and women per age category, with 12 possible filters (and their combinations);
- The second page shows the figures based on 7 individual characteristics, with 8 possible filters;
- The third page shows 6 household characteristics, again with 8 possible filters;
- The fourth page shows population figures at 6 different territorial levels, with a graphical representation of your selection on a map of Belgium.
