I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Prof. Darryl
Cabral for giving me the opportunity to work on such an
informative and practical project. It proved to be a very good
learning experience.
I am also grateful to Mr. Rajesh Masurkar, Finance Manager of
Huntsman and all those employee’s who filled my questionnaire
and cooperated by giving necessary information for my project.
Finally, I would like to thank all those who have directly and
indirectly helped me throughout my project and motivated me
for its successful completion.

Synopsis
Objective
Huntsman Corporation is a publicly traded global manufacturer and
marketer of specialty and differentiated chemicals. Their chemical
products number in the thousands and are sold worldwide to
manufacturers serving a broad and diverse range of consumer and
industrial end markets. .
They believe that ethical and moral standards are the foundation of good
business policies, and will operate with integrity. But are the values
actually being followed inside the company? Very less people know the
internal scenario of the organization and the critical issues being faced by
them.
This project and questionnaire has been designed to understand the job
satisfaction of the employee’s and are the employee’s willing to choose
other options rather than continuing with their current jobs. The question
is whether the Company is accomplishing its duty towards employee’s for
delivering the best return for their services & motivating employee’s
towards organisations objective.
Actual Study
A questionnaire was prepared which understands the factors that
motivate employee’s the most and job satisfaction & employee perception
of self in the company.
Methodology
A questionnaire was prepared for study and analysis purpose. It consisted
of 15 questions touching upon the factors mentioned above. The questions
were answered by the employees of Huntsman and the responses were
analyzed and judged upon what Job satisfaction means to them and what
attitude they carry for their job. The questionnaire method was used here
with both open and close ended Questions.

Findings
The findings from the responses filled in by the employee’s paint a rosy
picture of Huntsman. Most of the employee’s are satisfied with their jobs.
They believe that they are well taken care with motivation in the
organization. However, even though the employee’s are happy, many
want organisation to provide them with more of other curriculum
activities for more of peppy environment along with work and growth
exposure. Many more findings have been presented in the primary and
secondary findings part.
Conclusion
Organizational culture plays an important role in the job satisfaction and
motivation of employee’s and has a big impact on attrition.

METHODOLOGY
Area of study: -
I opted for the questionnaire method for doing the study on Job Satisfaction.
The questionnaire was prepared by me. I did my survey by visiting the
company. The employees filled the form to their best knowledge with due
diligence.
How was it done: -
Following are the steps in which the project was undertaken:
Defining the objective of the study.
Preparing a questionnaire relating to the study.
Conducting a survey in the company.
Analysing and Finding out the results.
Concluding the project by giving suggestions based on outcomes.
Method used: -
The questionnaire method was used for this study as it is much better and easy
to find out the responses of the people through questionnaire method. It also
gives the exact information that one looks for and provides accurate results.
With the help of questionnaire and statistical representation of the study it helps
in understanding the data in a more logical and better manner.

Primary Findings
1. Majority of Employee’s are satisfied with their jobs at Huntsman.
2. Majority of Employee’s are motivated to do their jobs and don’t need
conscious motivation from superiors.
3. Huntsman is a place where majority of employees are satisfied with Top
Management.
4. As per employees there is no career growth opportunities.
5. Employee’s survey clearly describes Employees with high level of performance
tend to be more efficient and effective in carrying out their respective roles.
They embrace their work and workplace wholeheartedly and render services
required by them timely. This, however, shows that both their intrinsic and
extrinsic values has been met by the organization.
6. Majority of Employee’s opinion clearly brings out that company shall other
than work environment focus on employee’s comfortness in terms of ease of
work flow & other curriculum activities.

Conclusion
From the responses given by the employee’s, it can be noted that the
employee’s at Huntsman are satisfied with their jobs, so much so that
they are self-motivated to do their work. This is a good sign for any
company and Huntsman should focus on maintaining the current
characteristics. Another thing that can be noted is that the employee’s
claim that organisation culture and environment is likely for working
conditions and growth for employee’s. This can be assumed to be one of
the reasons for the job satisfaction.
Huntsman does aim to be a trusted partner for every customer it serves
and it can only be possible with value added services of employee’s and it
is evident from the survey that most of the employee’s agree that
company considers employee’s vital important in decision making.
Overall, the general organizational work culture at Huntsman is a
balanced one and employees are quite happy with where they work and
their responsibilities.
