PROCEDURES FOR PLANTING

ORNAMENTAL PLANTS or VEGETABLE SEEDS

PROCEDURES:

1. Prepare all the materials needed for planting seeds

a. PET bottle cut in half (6 to 8 inches high); tin can or clay pot can also be used

Puncture at least 4 small holes on the side of the pet bottle or tin can, do it 1 inch above the
base.

b. Loam Soil or Garden soil

c. Dry Seeds (Vegetable or Ornamental plant seeds)

d. Barbecue Stick

e. Bits of dry leaves

2. Place the bits of leaves first inside the container (PET bottle, tin can or clay pot)

3. Cover it with loam soil (leave at least 1inch space from the lid of the PET bottle or tin can

4. Once the container is filled with soil, water it thoroughly. Use a slow, steady stream of water.
Depending on how dry the potting soil is, you may need to water a few times to completely wet the
potting soil. Using slightly warmer water will often saturate the soil more rapidly than very cold
water.
5. Use the barbecue stick in making holes for the seeds
6. Place the seed separately from one another to avoid congestion when it starts to germinate
7. Place the container in a place far from direct sunlight
8. Wet the soil once a day
9. Wait until the seed is fully germinated (seed sprouted)
10. Apply proper care for the plants to grow
