9.4 Periodical maintenance

It is important to follow this periodical maintenance table to ensure the safe and care free
operation of the truck.

This periodical maintenance table is based on normal operation and environment. If the
truck is under heavy operation or harsh environment it might be necessary to shorten the
maintenance interval.

More detailed maintenance information about engine, transmission and drive axle can be
found on the manual of corresponding manufacturer provided with flash drive included in
Meclift Spare Parts manual.

) Regardless to the operating hours the oil replacement must be conducted at least once
per year. The oil replacement interval can vary according to usage, using environment,
quality of the engine oil and the Sulphur content of the fuel. The specific instructions can
be found on the manual of engine provided online Cummins QuickServe
2) Intervals viewed in this table are maximum allowed. In case of “filter clogged” –warning
at normal running temperature filter should be replaced regardless to interval. Notice that
the “filter clogged” –warning can be falsely set off due to high viscosity of oil in low
temperatures.

) Regardless to operating hours the oil replacement must be conducted at least once per
year.
5) The inlet air filter element is changed according to engine hours. The safety element is
changed on every third change of the main filter element or at least once per year. The
filter elements cannot be cleaned. In dusty environment the air filter change interval must
be shortened. If visual indicator shows excessive air restriction the element should be
changed immediately.
6) Check the adjustment instructions from chapter 9.5.7.
