Prime responsibilities as a consultant in SCNO
As a consultant, you will work in teams led by partners with colleagues and clientele from a wide
variety of industries to develop innovative operating solutions by bringing in a broad perspective.
As part of these engagements, you will develop a deep understanding of client issues, work in
teams to build robust and executable solutions and articulate effectively to the client stakeholders.
In cross-border engagements, you will also have the opportunity to work with our practitioners
from our practices from across the world. These provide a strong platform for you to expand your
own knowledge and skills while helping our clients to achieve competitive success
You are expected to work in a fast paced environment while we provide personalized training

Skills
Consultants will be on client-facing projects and take full responsibility of delivery and ensure it
meets client expectations. They will effectively engage with managers at Deloitte and client
counterparts in discussions relating to the project delivery and provide new perspectives /insights.

• Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge in specific solution areas
• Effectively conduct research to characterise the market, segments and industries to enable
the team draw insights
• Take ownership of tasks and delivery with the ability to run your own work stream

• Possess sharp analytical skills and problem solving abilities
• Have the willingness to learn and adapt to the changing landscape
• Meet stringent quality of engagement delivery through thorough and meticulous planning
and execution of the tasks assigned
• Communicate and interact effectively with senior client personnel for delivering
engagements

About Supply Chain & Manufacturing Operations (SCMO)
• The SC&MO practice assists clients in addressing their most complex issues by drawing on
global and Indian capabilities to provide advisory and implementation services that
transform, reinvent, and optimize their supply chain end-to-end thereby impacting
dimensions of product development, planning, sourcing, manufacturing and distribution in
a digital world
• The focus therefore is on providing holistic offerings to address client business issues and
engaging with them in deploying high impact delivery models that support their
overarching business strategy. Assistance includes designing supply chain operating
model, defining and developing supply chain capabilities that are core to competitive
advantage, improving operational and financial performance, and managing supply chain
related risk
Sample of projects:
• Digital transformation of the supply chain for one of the world’s largest consumer business
companies
• Establishing an integrated Supply and Operations planning process for a global metals and
mining company
• Supply chain planning and execution for one of the largest ready-made garment
manufacturers in India
• Direct material value transformation and supply chain strategy for the Indian arm of a
global manufacturer of commercial vehicles
