Dear respected parents, Asalam Alaikum,

Please see below the weekly updates for the secondary school.

Commemoration Day
Today is the day the United Arab Emirates come together to honour the sacrifices made
by the brave heroes who dedicated their lives to defend and safeguard this great nation we
all happily reside in. It is a day of remembrance, gratitude, and unity as we pay tribute to
the men and women who have selflessly served their country.

As the nation celebrates UAE National Day, which is a momentous occasion that holds
great significance for the nation we all reside in. In observance of this important event, we
have decided to grant students an extended weekend, until Wednesday 6th December
2023.

The school will resume on Wednesday 6th December 2023 and the final exams will take place till the very
last day.

IGCSE Mocks Exams

IGCSE Mocks are a vital component for student success. The mock exams replicate the exam conditions as closely as possible, allowing students to become
accustomed to the examination environment, including procedures, rules, etc. Additionally, based on their mock exam results, students and teachers can make
necessary adjustments to their study plans. If a student is underperforming in certain areas, they can modify their approach and seek additional help or resources
well in advance of their real exams in May.

I like to remind parents that the final award for this academic year will be the May exams and all the mocks and quizzes are elements of informing both parents and
us as school on the progress of the students. This is why the mock papers will be covering the full IGCSE specifications to regardless of whether the content is
covered, to support all parties identify specific topics or subjects where additional attention and study are needed way ahead of May exams.

TESTING FOR THE PRESENCE ENTHALPY PRACTICAL!

OF CATIONS USING SODIUM
HYDROXIDE SOLUTION!
The Year 11 girls' Chemical Tests, exploring
cations like Copper (II), Iron (II), Iron (III), and
Ammonium ions, were both educational and
enjoyable. Through hands-on experimentation,
they observed colour changes and precipitation
reactions, enhancing their practical
understanding. The vibrant laboratory
atmosphere reflected the girls' excitement as they
collaborated, reinforcing teamwork and precision.
This fun and memorable experience not only
sharpened their practical skills but also connected
theoretical knowledge with real-world
applications, contributing to a more enjoyable
learning journey in chemistry.

The Enthalpy Practical proved to be an engaging

and enlightening experience for the Year 11
students. As they delved into the intricacies of
this experiment, a palpable sense of curiosity
and excitement filled the laboratory. The hands-
on nature of the practical not only provided an
opportunity for students to apply theoretical
knowledge but also fostered a deeper
understanding of the subject matter. They
learned a lot for the upcoming iGCSE exam.

created a revision material flag on the
Interactive White Board by collaborating with
each other and listing down the topics in to 3
categories based on difficulty levels, Red
