Trip Report
Subject: 355ml Dasani 24pack printed film setup at Variopac Line 6 and Service to pad inserter at
Palletizer L4.

Monday June 24th:


- Planning for 355ml bottle/24 pack job.
- Customer had delayed production from past shifts. It was not possible to start testing new 355ml
setup.

Tuesday June 25th:


- No information from Krones available for new 355ml setup.
- An available test recipe (number 17) was used to create this new setup.
- Pack dimensions and film parameters were adjusted and recipe description changed.
- Initial production for 355ml 24pack with printed film.
- Assistance at Robobox to program new recipe.

Wednesday June 26th:
- Pad inserter at Palletizer Line 4 partial rebuild.
- Due to time down availability it was necessary to do only a partial rebuild of this unit.
- Hoist linear bearings and timing belt need at least 2 days of work. Customer was aware of this
situation.
- I/O check of all sensors and actuators at this unit.
- Re-enabling unit at PLC program.
- Adjusting parameters and operators training in pad application configuration at touch screen.

Thursday June 27th:


- Parts checking and preparations at Variopac for “Film Only” conversion job the following week.
- Production coverage for 355ml 24pack printed film.

Friday June 28th:


- Wrap-up meeting with customer.
- Travel POS-PTY-GUA

SUMMARY / CONCLUSIONS

1. Variopac left working without problems with new setup. Printed film with good quality and
centered design at the package.
2. Recipe 17 was assigned for 355ml 24pack printed film
3. Pad inserted at Palletizer line 4 working normally and, upon customer request, pads applied to
last layer only.
4. Luis Lavagnino will perform “Film Only” conversion at Variopac the following week.

FINAL COMMENTS

- Be aware that after film only conversion, many new recipes will be added to Variopac operator
panel. It is possible that new recipe created will be transferred to another number.

- Palletizer Pad inserter rebuild has to be finished and Preventive Maintenance routines should be
started at this unit from now on.
