1. Calculate the R.M.S value and average value of a periodic voltage which changes in steps at equal
intervals of the times as follows (0,5,10,20,50,60,50,20,10,5,0,-5,-10,…..)

2. Find the current delivered by the source in the Fig.1 shown below

5. A 20 μF capacitor is in the series with the parallel combination of a resistor R and a 15 mH inductor
at ω = 1 k radian /s.
(a) Find the admittance of the network if R = 80 Ω
(b) Find R if Y=G + j25 ms
(Ans: 2.14+j28.0 ms, 25.4Ω)

6. In the Fig.4 L1 draws 20 kW at unity P.F. L2 draws 25 kVA at 0.8 P.F lag, L3 draws 30 kW at 0.75
P.F. lag. Find the total power and apparent power supplied by the source. What is the source
power factor?

capacitor by a circuit having an ideal capacitor in parallel with a resistor and find the numerical
values of the circuit elements.

12. For the circuit of figure 9, determine the condition such that the input impedance is purely resistive
at all frequencies.
