Dear Participants,
Thank you so much for your understanding and for agreeing to the research purpose
conversation through our verbal communication. I am delighted to receive your response and
grateful for your efforts. Below are some of the details, which I share for your understanding
and records.
Introduction:
I am Parth Salunke, a doctoral scholar at MICA, India, a premier business school in strategic
marketing and communication. For my research purpose, I am reaching out to understand
consumer emotions experienced through social media influencers. The research aims to
contribute to a holistic understanding of consumer behavior, helping academia, practicing
industry, and society.
This form aims to provide information to help you understand more details and participate in
this research study. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer. Read the
information below and ask any questions you might have before deciding whether or not to
take part. If you choose to be involved in this study, this form will be used to record your
consent.
Purpose of the Study:
You have been asked to participate in a research study that aims to understand consumer
emotions when they see social media influencers and their attributes related to endorsed
content in the fashion and accessories category. You can participate in the study: A) if you
follow or regularly observe an Instagram influencer in the fashion or accessories category, B)
if you fall between the ages 18 and 34
What will you be asked to do:
If you agree to participate in this study, you will be asked to:
1. Share personal information (such as your Age and education level) and your social media
usage (such as time spent on Instagram, number or types of influencers followed, etc.). This
will be done through a discussion with a participant on the Zoom platform or offline,
whichever is convenient for the participant.
Note: Your participation in the interviews will be audio recorded but never shared with
anyone without your approval. They will also be used for research purposes without
disclosing your identity.

What are the risks involved in this study:
There are no foreseeable risks to participating in this research as it will be used to create new
knowledge in the marketing discipline without disclosing your identity.
What are the possible benefits of this study:
You will receive no direct benefit from participating in this study; however, we anticipate the
study will contribute to a greater understanding of how individuals engage with Instagram
influencers and their content and the implications of such experiences for policy and
managerial insights.
Will there be any compensation:
You will not receive any type of payment for participating in this study.
How will your privacy and confidentiality be protected if you participate in this
research study:
Your privacy and the confidentiality of your data will be protected in the following manner:
- The collected data will be securely stored on drive accounts associated with the researcher
- The data will be destroyed electronically and stored for only a few months until the research
is published
- Your research records or conversation will not be released without your consent in any
manner without your permission or approval
- I assure you that your identity will not be disclosed in any manner, and your participation
will be only used for research purposes
