Definition: Future Continuous Tense indicates that something will occur in

the future and continue for an expected length of time.


:‫پہچان‬
‫ رہے ہوں گے۔‬،‫ رہی ہوگی‬،‫رہا ہوگا‬

Future Continuous Tense Transformations:


Affirmative:
Sub HV Present Participle (V1+ing)

Interrogative:
Will Sub be Present Participle (V1+ing)?

Negative:
Sub HV + not Present Participle (V1+ing)

Interrogative and negative:

Will Sub Not Be
(V1+ing)?

Future Continuous Tense Example sentences:


Positive sentences
We will be shifting to a new home next year.
‫ہم نئے گھر میں اگلے سال شفٹ ہو رہے ہوں گے۔‬

He will be flying a kite.


‫وہ پتنگ اڑا رہا ہوگا۔‬

It will be raining tomorrow.


‫کل بارش ہو رہی ہوگی۔‬

She will be enjoying her vacations.


‫وہ اپنی چھٹیاں انجائے کر رہی ہوگی۔‬

He will be expecting honesty from his employees.


‫وہ اپنے ملازموں سے امانداری کی توقع کر رہا ہوگا۔‬

She will be delivering a speech to people.


‫وہ لوگوں سے خطاب کر رہی ہوگی۔‬

Negative sentences
We will not be shifting to a new home next year.
‫ہم نئے گھر میں اگلے سال شفٹ نہیں ہو رہے ہوں گے۔‬

He will not be flying a kite.


‫وہ پتنگ نہیں اڑا رہا ہوگا‬

It will not be raining tomorrow.


‫کل بارش نہیں ہو رہی ہوگی۔‬

Interrogative sentences

When you talk about any continuous action in future.


Examples:
 You will be waiting for her when her plane arrives tonight.
 Will you be waiting for her when her plane arrives tonight?
 You will not be waiting for her when her plane arrives tonight.
You may replace ‘will’ with ‘be going to’
Is/am/are Going to be PP(present participle)
Examples.
 You are going to be waiting for her when her plane arrives
tonight.
 Are you going to be waiting for her when her plane arrives
tonight?
 You are not going to be waiting for her when her plane arrives
tonight.

Interrupted Action in the Future
‫جب فیوچر میں کوئی کام انٹرپٹ کیا جا رہا ہو۔‬:‫یوز‬
 I will be watching TV when she arrives tonight.
 I will be waiting for you when your bus arrives.
 I am going to be staying at the Madison Hotel, if
anything happens and you need to contact me.
Use_2
Interruption on specific time
‫فیوچر میں کسی خاص وقت پے انٹرپشن کےلیے بھی یوز کیا جاتا ہے۔‬
Examples:
 Tonight at 6 PM, I am going to be eating dinner.
I will be in the process of eating dinner.
 At midnight tonight, we will still be driving through the desert.
We will be in the process of driving through the desert.
Compare the following two sentences!
 Tonight at 6 PM, I am going to eat dinner.
I am going to start eating at 6 PM.
 Tonight at 6 PM, I am going to be eating dinner.
I am going to start earlier and I will be in the process of eating
dinner at 6 PM.

Parallel Actions
‫جب کوئی دو یا دو سےزیادہ کام ایک ہی وقت میں جاری ہوں۔‬:‫یوز‬
Examples
 I am going to be studying and he is going to be
making dinner.
 Tonight, they will be eating dinner, discussing their plans,
and having a good time.
 While Ellen is reading, Tim will be watching television.

Atmosphere
‫ اور بیان کرنا چاہ رہے ہوں کہ کیا کیا چل رہا تھا۔‬، ‫جب چند لوگ کسی ماحول میں رہے ہوں‬
Examples
 When I arrive at the party, everybody is going to be celebrating.
Some will be dancing. Others are going to be talking. A few
people will be eating pizza, and several people are going to be
drinking beer. They always do the same thing.
‫فیوچر کونٹینوس سینٹینس کے شروع میں ٹائم ایکسپریشن نیں لیتا۔‬
When, while, before, after, by the time, as soon as, if, unless, etc.
 Jane will be being at my house when you arrive. Not Correct
 Jane will be at my house when you arrive. Correct
Note!
No concept of using non-continuous and verbs and non-continuous aspect of
mixed verbs in Future progressive sentence.
When the case is of using these verbs prefer using Simple future, as;
 Jane will be being at my house when you arrive. Not Correct
 Jane will be at my house when you arrive. Correct
Adverb Placement
Place the adverb just after the ‘will’ and ‘be (is/am/are)’ in affirmative
sentences and just after the subject in interrogative sentences.
 You will still be waiting for her when her plane arrives.
 Will you still be waiting for her when her plane arrives?
 You are still going to be waiting for her when her plane arrives.
 Are you still going to be waiting for her when her plane arrives?
