Narrative Report
Reading in the classroom serves as a springboard for creativity, exploration,
and interpersonal relationships in addition to being an academic engagement.
Reading takes on a life of its own in the classroom, as pupils gather to study the
written word. It is a collaborative experience that encourages creativity and curiosity
and provides chances to discover endless worlds outside of the classroom. Whereas
the special combination of study, teamwork, and personal development that reading
fosters in the classroom is what really makes it enjoyable.
Reading and Arithmetic Enhancement with Gratuity (RAEG),
a program introduced last year by the Division of Cagayan
de Oro City, aims to improve students' reading and literacy
abilities. The fourth graders make sure that the RAEG is
enjoyable in the classroom. Teachers created literacy and
reading teaching resources because they are essential in
making reading enjoyable by allowing pupils to try new
things without fear of criticism. Every effort is appreciated,
regardless of whether a student is enjoying a smaller
story or tearing through a difficult chapter book. Pupils gain
confidence and cultivate a lifelong love of reading because
to this encouraging feedback. Pupils learn to view reading
as a chance to develop rather than an obligation in these
encouraging environments.
Reading in the classroom is a happy experience because it blends the excitement of discovery, the strength of
teamwork, the nurturing environment's support, and the enchantment of interpersonal connection. Pupils can go on
adventures they never thought possible, share what they've learned with others, and uncover aspects of themselves in
the books they read. Through these experiences, reading turns into a source of endless enjoyment and inspiration
rather than merely a talent to learn.

Narrative Report
An English reading kit is a set of tools and materials intended to help
and improve the reading experience. In general, these kits contain organized
reading books, workbooks, vocabulary lists, comprehension exercises, and
frequently multimedia materials like audiobooks or digital platforms, however
the exact content varies based on the target population. Learners, language
learners, and everyone else wishing to get better at reading can use them;
they are suitable for readers of all skill levels.
One of the most significant advantages of using an English reading kit
is the improvement in reading comprehension. The teachers of Fr. William F.
Masterson S.J. Elementary School specifically in Grade 4 level used these
ERK reading materials to enhance the reading skills of the pupils.
The goal is to improve a learner’s reading skills, offering a wide array
of materials and resources to aid in comprehension, vocabulary development,
and motivation. By utilizing these kits effectively, readers can not only
enhance their English proficiency but also cultivate a love for reading that will
benefit them throughout their lives. With the right tools, the journey of learning
to read in English becomes not just a necessary task, but an enjoyable and
rewarding experience.

Project OKKRA
A Gulayan sa Paaralan School Initiative
Narrative Report
The "Project OKKRA” or Gulayan sa Paaralan" program is an initiative aimed at promoting
sustainable gardening in schools to support food security, environmental awareness, and nutrition
among learners. This program encourages schools to cultivate vegetable gardens, which serve as
a source of fresh produce while also teaching learners about agriculture, responsibility, and
healthy eating habits.
At Fr. William F. Masterson S.J. Elementary School, the Gulayan sa Paaralan program
was launched with the participation of students, teachers, and parents. This initiative encourages
young learners to actively participate in growing vegetables and maintaining school gardens. The
school designated a portion of the campus as the gardening site, where various vegetables such

Grade 4 to 6 students in various activities, including soil preparation, planting, watering, weeding,
and harvesting vegetables such as eggplant, tomatoes, okra, pechay, and string beans.
Through this hands-on approach, students developed a deeper understanding of plant
growth, ecosystems, and the importance of organic farming. They also learned responsibility,
teamwork, and leadership as they took turns caring for their assigned garden plots. The harvested
produce contributed to the school’s feeding program, promoting healthy eating habits and
providing nutritious meals.
Furthermore, parents and local organizations supported the initiative by donating seeds and
gardening tools, further strengthening the community’s involvement. Despite challenges such as
weather conditions and soil, the program successfully instilled values of environmental

and orderly.
Throughout the day, I worked with the lection team
to address any concerns and help maintain a peaceful and
organized environment. I also helped with the closing process
and in the proper packing of materials.
