So I finally scored a replacement switch
block with thumbwheel from Yamaha Motor
Australia’s spare parts division and I couldn’t
wait to spend a leisurely day in the shed
fitting it. Actually, it wasn’t all day — but
nearly! The wiring for the new switch block
and thumb wheel attaches to the bike’s
main wiring loom under the World Raid’s
fuel tank. Of course, the World Raid has
two fuel tanks, but for this job only the
right-side tank needed to come off. Bonus!
