CAPITAL OF ENGLAND

The capital of England is London. London was founded by the romans 2.000 years ago and they
call it Londinium. The city had great historical events, such as the industrial revolution. London is
famous for its public transport network, the London Underground is the oldest in the world. London
has 9 million habitants and lots of them are from different countries, making London a very cultural
diverse city.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE
Is the official residence of King Charles III and a symbol of Uk monarchy. More than 50.000
people visit the palace every year. It is famous for the changing of the guard that take place on
Wednesday and Saturday. When the king is in the palace the flag of the monarchy is up.

THE BIG BEN


The big ben is the bell inside the clock tower of Westminster palace witch weights 13.5 tons. People
use this name to refer to the clock and the tower. The tower is known as Elisabeth Tower and is one
of the most famous symbols of London.

ST PAUL’S CATHEDRAL
Is a very big baroque church and one of the most famous places in London. Charles III and Diana
princess of Wales got married here.

HARRODS
Harrods is the most famous department stores in the world. Founded in 1834, by Charles Henry
who later sold it to Mohamed Al-Fayed, father of Diddi Al-Fayed, boyfriend of Diana Princess of
whales. This store has more than 300 departments including clothes and food, and is a tourist
destination.

KING CROSS
Is one of the most famous stations in London, more than 34 million people visit this place every
year, for two reason, first, because of its subways connections, second because it has the 9 3/4
platform, the one of harry potter film.

BRITISH MUSEUM

NATIONAL HISTORY MUSEUM


One of the most famous museums in London, it has the earth history from little insects to really big
dinosaurs.

The balcony of Buckingham palace is one of the most famous in the world since Queen Victoria
