Matt McLarty is a digital strategist, technology, executive, enterprise architect, and API enthusiast. He is currrently CTO at Boomi, helping organizations around the world thrive in the digital age. He is an active member of the worldwide API community, has led global technical teams at Salesforce, IBM and CA Technologies, and started his career in financial technology. Matt is an internationally known expert on AI, APIs, microservices, and integration. He has co-author of the book Unbundling the Enterprise, and has co-authored other books for O'Reilly. Matt also co-hosts the API Experience podcast, available on all popular podcast platforms.

Matt grew up in the Newmarket, Ontario, Canada close to the city of Toronto. He studied mathematics and statistics at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, graduating with honours in 1995 before embarking on a career in information technology. Matt lives in Surrey, BC, Canada with his wife and two sons. In his spare time, Matt records music, with a number of available albums on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, and Google Play.

An internationally known author and speaker, Mike Amundsen travels the world consulting and talking about network architecture, Web development, and intersection of technology and society. He works with companies large and small to help them capitalize on the opportunities APIs and Microservices present for both consumers and the enterprise.

Amundsen has authored numerous books and papers. He contributed to the O'Reilly Media book, "Continuous API Management" (2018). His "RESTful Web Clients", was published by O'Reilly in February 2017 and he co-authored "Microservice Architecture" (June 2016). Amundsen's 2013 collaboration with Leonard Richardson "RESTful Web APIs" and his 2011 book, “Building Hypermedia APIs with HTML5 and Node”, are common references for building adaptable Web applications. His latest book "Design and Build Great APIs" for Pragmatic Publishing is scheduled for release in early 2020.
