Muthaiga Golf Club, proudly called the Home of Golf by its elite membership, is in many ways the
ultimate embodiment of Kenya’s unique marriage of ancient golf tradition and a modern a 18-hole
Championship Golf Course.
The Club is renowned as one of the most prestigious and challenging courses in the region. The force
behind this renaissance is an extensive course reconstruction by the celebrated South African course
designer Peter Matkovich, which in 2002 returned Muthaiga to its prominence as the finest course in
East Africa.
The Club has sound policies that govern the running of the club to remain the premier Golf Club in the
region. On this premise, the club seeks to fill the following roles
1. POSITION: EVENTS COORDINATOR (01)
Overall Purpose
The Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing a variety of events at the
club, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all members and guests.
This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with
various stakeholders
Key Measures of Performance
The performance of this role holder will be assessed on the basis of the achievements made on:
Successful planning and execution of events.
Increased member satisfaction and engagement in terms of events
Adherence to event budgets and timelines.
Professional management of client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning and Coordination:
Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and continuously update the events calendar.
Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including corporate functions, tournaments, and social
gatherings.

Manage event logistics, including venue setup, catering, audiovisual needs, transportation, staffing e.t.c
Client Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and members regarding event inquiries and bookings.
Conduct site visits and meetings with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction before, during, and after events.
Budget Management:
Assist in the development and oversee / manage event budgets, ensuring all events are executed within
financial parameters.
Marketing and Promotion:
Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote upcoming events through various
channels, including social media, newsletters, and the club’s website.
On-Site Event Management:
Oversee the execution of events on-site, ensuring all details are carried out as planned.
Coordinate with staff and vendors to ensure smooth operations during events.
Address any issues or changes that arise promptly and professionally.
Post-Event Evaluation:
Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback from clients and attendees.
Analyze event success and identify areas for improvement for future events.

Academic, Experience and Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in event planning or coordination, preferably in a hospitality
or club environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Personal Attributes:
A proactive and creative thinker with a passion for delivering exceptional events.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
A team player who can collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
