On Tuesday, July 23, Deputy Vince Everett travelled to the Calhoun County Jail to pick up
Steven Paul McDaniel (38), who was being held on a Gulf County warrant for Violation of
Probation on the original charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting
without Violence. McDaniel was also wanted on a warrant for Battery, which stemmed
from a January 2019 incident investigated by Deputy P. Young.
On Tuesday, July 23, Darnell Kentavious McCurdy (25) was arrested at the Gulf County
Detention Facility for Violation of Probation. McCurdy was on probation for Possession
of a Controlled Substance.
On Tuesday, July 23, Thomas Kent Lee (27) was served with an arrest warrant at the Gulf
County Detention Facility for Violation of Probation. Lee was on probation for Obstructing
a Criminal Investigation.
On Wednesday, July 24, Deputy G. Desrosier was dispatched to the 8000 block of Hwy 98
in regards to a suspicious person. Deputy Desrosier contacted the suspicious person and
identified him as Cruz Escobar-Loya (67) from Texas. During a wanted person check
Deputy Desrosier learned that Escobar-Loya was wanted out of Texas on a felony warrant
for Driving Under the Influence. Escobar was transported to the Gulf County Detention
Facility where he is awaiting extradition to Texas.
On Wednesday, July 24, Sgt. P. Williams and Investigators S. Ferrell and C. Harvey arrested
Joseph Tyler Adkison (27) on two warrants for Domestic Battery. The warrants were the
result of two incidents that were reported on July 4 and July 12, 2019. Both cases involved
the same victim.

On Wednesday, July 24, GCSO deputies arrested Anthony Lee Turner (35) on Jehu Road
on a warrant for Battery. Deputy D. Goodman obtained the warrant after investigating a
June 13, 2019, incident where Turner had engaged in a physical altercation with a family
member.
On Thursday, July 25, Deputy D. Goodman responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from
a development site on Hwy 98 across from Industrial Road. Sometime between July 12,
2019 and July 15, 2019, a 2007 Chevrolet C5500 series 4x4, white in color, was stolen from
this site. The vehicle was secured inside a fenced area but was left unlocked with the keys
in the ignition. It appears the suspect drove the vehicle through the fence to get it out.
The vehicle may have front end damage.
On Thursday, July 25, Deputy S. Alday travelled to the Bay County Jail to pick up Tommy
Randolph Turner (32) who was being held on a Gulf County warrant for Violation of
Probation. Turner was on probation for Sale of Methamphetamine. Turner was
transported to the Gulf County Detention Facility to be booked.
On Friday, July 26, Deputy P. Young responded to a residence in St. Joe Beach in regards
to a physical altercation involving a male and female. Deputy Young identified the
aggressor in the altercation as Eric James Powell (38). The female victim displayed minor
injuries which corroborated with her statement as to what occurred. Powell was placed
under arrest and charged with Domestic Battery.
On Friday, July 26, Austin John Humphreys (36) was arrested at the Gulf County Detention
Facility on a warrant for Violation of Probation. Humphreys was on probation for Burglary
and Grand Theft.
On Friday, July 26, Investigators S. Ferrell and C. Harvey stopped a vehicle in Howard Creek
that was occupied by Robbie Devon Riley (42). Riley was wanted on a Theft warrant which
resulted from a incident reported on July 10, 2019. Sgt. P. Williams investigated the
report and found where Riley had entered the Express Lane in Wewahitchka and stole
merchandise. Riley was arrested and transported to the Gulf County Detention Facility.
On Friday, July 26, Deputy M. Peek conducted a traffic stop on Armstrong Road in
Wewahitchka. The driver of the vehicle was identified as John Emory Hudson (49) who
did not have a valid driver’s license. The registration plate on the vehicle was also
cancelled and registered to another vehicle. Hudson was placed under arrest and charged
Felony DWLS/R and Attaching Registration Tag Not Assigned.
On Friday, July 26, Katelyn Alyssa Lewis (21) was arrested on a warrant for Grand Theft.
Investigator A. White investigated Lewis for making unauthorized online purchases on a
decedent’s Amazon account.

On Friday, July 26, Deputy J. Page responded to a report of a disturbance in Jones
Homestead. Deputy Page learned that a physical altercation had taken place between
two females who reside together. Rachel Nadine Anderson (23) was identified as the
aggressor and was arrested for Domestic Battery.
On Friday, July 26, Deputy M. Peek located Randall James List Jr. (33) in Oak Grove and
arrested him on a warrant for Violation of Probation. List was on Probation for making
Written Threats to Kill.
On Sunday, July 28, Deputy M. Manley was dispatched to the Howard Creek area in
reference to a domestic disturbance. The disturbance involved Michael Walter Arena Jr
(29). No criminal charges stemmed from the disturbance report; however, Arena did have
a warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court for an existing Battery charge.
