In your project window, right-click on the topmost line - the one representing your target. Select 'Add folder'. /Per W On Sun, 19 Jan 2003, Anindita Sarangi wrote: > Hi: > I am new user of Dev C++. Hi: I am new user of Dev C++. I am using the latest beta version Dev C++ 5.0. From the download page screen shot it seems one can create subfolders in a project. I want to know how can I add directories to the project like in JBuilder IDE for Java. Any help in this regard is appreciated. Thanks Pitambar |

Hello!
Don't use atof() for converting from text string to a double.
Use strtod() instead, since it will inform you how many characters it
consumed.
char mystring[] =3D "1.2E-3*3";
char *p =3D mystring;
char *end;
num =3D strtod(p,&end);
Now end will point to the '*' character, since '1.2E-3' is consumed and
returned as the double 0.0012.
Note also when parsing infix expressions, that you normally have to take
care of unary signs, i.e. 1+-2 which should be evaluated as 1 + (-2).
Easiest is to perform the parsing with a recursive-descent parser, i.e.
something like:
eval_expr()
return eval_additive()
eval_additive()
while (*p =3D=3D '+' || *p =3D=3D '-')
if (*p =3D=3D '+') {
p++;
n +=3D eval_multiplicative()
} else {
p++;
n -=3D eval_multiplicative()
}
return n;
eval_multiplicative()
n =3D eval_factor()
while (*p =3D=3D '*' || *p =3D=3D '/')
if (*p =3D=3D '*') {
p++;
n *=3D eval_factor();
} else {
p++;
n /=3D eval_factor();
}
return n;
eval_factor()
if (*p =3D=3D =B4+') {p++; return eval_factor(); }
if (*p =3D=3D '-') {p++; return -eval_factor(); }
if (*p =3D=3D '(') {p++; n =3D eval_expr(); if (p !=3D ')') error(); retu=
rn n; }
return number();
Good luck!
/Per W

Thanks. However I see tutorials on creating a DLL there, though none on specifically creating one within Dev-C++. I have been able to create one, but need to drop to a command prompt to run the final steps (using Dev-C++ to only create the object file). Dev-C++ errors out with porblems related to the path. Has anyone written a tutorial, from start to finish, of using Dev-C++ and the .dll template to build a simple DLL? I can build a DLL, but not fully within Dev-C++. You could use a pointer, which defaults to the base element of an array when pointed to it, and then use ++ to go to the next element. This will of course not work with multi-byte characters or unicode characters. >From: j b <com...@ya...> >To: dev...@li... >Subject: [Dev-C++] atof... >Date: Sun, 19 Jan 2003 14:48:50 +0100 (CET) > > >i need to convert the chars in an array into float and put them onto a >stack... i used atof but i can't change the address of the elements of the >array so i always put the same value into the stack... can anyone help?? > >kind regards... > > > >--------------------------------- >Gesendet von http://mail.yahoo.de. >Bis zu 100 MB Speicher bei http://premiummail.yahoo.de. _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8. I noticed some unusual embedded characters in CVS in some of the filenames. These are all in the folder: /dev-cpp/V5/source/images/blue Here's an example: /dev-cpp/V5/source/images/blue/Arrange%2520Icons.bmp Maybe this isn't noticable when using WinCVS, but I wrote my own program to download source form the CVS browser at SourceForge, and this became a problem for me until I figured it out. If you want to see how this works, you can see this bitmap by entering this URL in a browser (of course it has to be on one line): http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/dev-cpp/V5/source/images/blue/Arrange%2520Icons.bmp?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/plain Eric __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
