Hello, Does anyone on this list know how to retrieve a list of all the host = names that are currently in the local network, preferably using Winsock? = I'm trying to make a little program that will allow you to connect to = someone in your local network and send a message to them, without having = to manually exchange IP addresses. Any info on this? Thanks in advance. Regards Philip Bennefall |

Are you sure that the application doesn't open and then immediately closes? If you want to see the output of the application, you must either run it from the command line, or add something like: #include <stdlib.h> and then perform the following call before main() returns: system("pause"); /pwm On 31 Mar 2007, Devashish Shanker wrote: > I have just started doing programming languages. I asked a question a bit ago through the list, however my terminology is no= t correct. so in order to be able to pursue the learning process and focus = thoughts, a rephrasing of the questions appears to be in order. Hello all, This message may have arrived on the mailing list earlier. Sorry if it did. I have nly just joined this mailing list. I'm relatively new to using c/c++, and I'm interested in it primarily for audio programming. On the 19th of November 2001 Ken Bouchard posted a query about getting a problem with 'InitCommonControlSex' not being defined whenever trying to compile and run an application through dev-c++ that uses common controls. I've gone through the steps of attmpting to use both libcomctl32.a and/or comctrl32.lib through the linker - without the undefined problem with 'InitCommonControlSex' remaining unchanged. What does one do to solve this problem. Ken Bouchard, if you read this post - what did you do to solve this problem? Any replies appreciated, Andrew ------------------------------------------------------------ This email was sent from Netspace Webmail: http://www.netspace.net.au |

just a newbie question, if I must use an external library in a DevCpp project, with its /src and /include directories, shall I... *manually import the necessary *.cpp files *manually import the necessary *.h files *set somwhere the path to the /include directory *set somewhere the path to the /src directory What of this is strictly necessary/incompatible? Thanks in advance Josep M |

Forget about ol' Borland lib... I would suggest SDL, a widely used and simple multimedia lib, platform independent, and not too complicated. The Boost (http://www.boost.org/) library apparently has functions for graphs but I haven't looked at it yet. Had a friend show me something he did with Open Scene Graph ( http://openscenegraph.sourceforge.net/) a while ago. Both are on my check-it-out-later when I know what to do with it. On 23/03/07, Per Westermark <pw...@ia...> wrote: > > The BGI (Borland Graphics Interface) is an ancient library. The BGI (Borland Graphics Interface) is an ancient library. The code may still be retrieved - if I remember correctly, it is distributed as a single source file. However, almost no programs uses it. If you don't use the Win32 API directly, you may look into libgd. /Per W On Fri, 23 Mar 2007, Radu Siulea wrote: > I'm new in Dev-C++ and I want to know how can I make an application, in > Dev, with graphic display (I need to display some graphic figure like > circles, lines) > In Borland C++ I have to include the library graph.h but in dev I can't > find it.. > > Thanks! > |

I'm new in Dev-C++ and I want to know how can I make an application, in Dev, with graphic display (I need to display some graphic figure like circles, lines) In Borland C++ I have to include the library graph.h but in dev I can't find it.. Thanks! |
