Hi again ,
Something like this :
************************************
#include <process.h>
char *my_env[] =
{
"Environ To Pass",
NULL //pass sytem environ
};
char *my_Prog ="iexplorer"; //program to launch
char *args[4]; // arguments for my_Prog
_spawnvpe( _P_NOWAIT , my_Prog, args, my_env );
**************************************
Hope it works .

Hello, is there a way to make a screen-saver interactive? For instance, I would like to let the user click on text displayed on it without the screen-saver vanishing. Many thanks. Philippe de Rochambeau |

Hello, I have developed a basic application using C++-Dev that creates a process that runs IExplorer. Unfortunately, CreateProcess will not launch IExplorer unless I specify the latter's complete path (e.g., C:\program files\Explorer\ieexplore.exe) as second parameter value: CreateProcess( NULL, "C:\\Program Files\\Explorer\\Iexplore.exe", ...). I would like to search for IExplorer on the user's PC before creating the process. What is the easiest way to do that on Windows? Many thanks. Philippe de Rochambeau |

Hi all, I'm sat here with the urge to expand my knowledge of programming in windows programming(on top of a basic MFC app that tested a printer's capabilities), but I can't think of a way to get started. Does anyone know of a good simple project to aim for, like "I'm going to build a project to record and display user input using MFC" ? Sorry if that sounds garbled lol ;) What do Windows-wannabe programmers get set for homework in colleges? _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus |

When yo need one:
HWND hEdit;
...
hEdit =3D CreateWindowEx(dwExStyles,
"edit",
"",
WS_VISIBLE | other dwStyles,
upperleft.x coordinate in=20
relation to the window, =20
upperleft.y,
width, =20
height,
hwnd (of the parent),
ID of the control,
hInstance of the program,
0 (LPVOID to window creation=20
data));
If you haven'tWS_VISIBLE, then you can use ShowWindow(hEdit, SW_SHOW);=20
when you want it to be visible. and ShowWindow(hEdit, SW_HIDE); for hide=20
it. (You can retrieve the edit control handle with GetDlgItem(hwnd=20
(handle of parent window), ID of the edit);
