I have a sample code about registry. It is not the function what u wanted.
But hope, it can still help you to understand the registry.
// QueryKey - Enumerates the subkeys of key and its associated values.
// hKey - Key whose subkeys and values are to be enumerated.
#include <windows.h>
#include <stdio.h>
#include <tchar.h>
#define MAX_KEY_LENGTH 255
#define MAX_VALUE_NAME 16383
void QueryKey(HKEY hKey)
{
TCHAR achKey[MAX_KEY_LENGTH]; // buffer for subkey name
DWORD cbName; // size of name string
TCHAR achClass[MAX_PATH] = TEXT(""); // buffer for class name
DWORD cchClassName = MAX_PATH; // size of class string
DWORD cSubKeys=0; // number of subkeys
DWORD cbMaxSubKey; // longest subkey size
DWORD cchMaxClass; // longest class string
DWORD cValues; // number of values for key
DWORD cchMaxValue; // longest value name
DWORD cbMaxValueData; // longest value data
DWORD cbSecurityDescriptor; // size of security descriptor
FILETIME ftLastWriteTime; // last write time
DWORD i, retCode;
TCHAR achValue[MAX_VALUE_NAME];
DWORD cchValue = MAX_VALUE_NAME;
// Get the class name and the value count.
retCode = RegQueryInfoKey(
hKey, // key handle
achClass, // buffer for class name
&cchClassName, // size of class string
NULL, // reserved
&cSubKeys, // number of subkeys
&cbMaxSubKey, // longest subkey size
&cchMaxClass, // longest class string
&cValues, // number of values for this key
&cchMaxValue, // longest value name
&cbMaxValueData, // longest value data
&cbSecurityDescriptor, // security descriptor
&ftLastWriteTime); // last write time
// Enumerate the subkeys, until RegEnumKeyEx fails.
if (cSubKeys)
{
printf( "\nNumber of subkeys: %d\n", cSubKeys);
for (i=0; i<cSubKeys; i++)
{
cbName = MAX_KEY_LENGTH;
retCode = RegEnumKeyEx(hKey, i,
achKey,
&cbName,
NULL,
NULL,
NULL,
&ftLastWriteTime);
if (retCode == ERROR_SUCCESS)
{
_tprintf(TEXT("(%d) %s\n"), i+1, achKey);
}
}
}
// Enumerate the key values.
if (cValues)
{
printf( "\nNumber of values: %d\n", cValues);
for (i=0, retCode=ERROR_SUCCESS; i<cValues; i++)
{
cchValue = MAX_VALUE_NAME;
achValue[0] = '\0';
retCode = RegEnumValue(hKey, i,
achValue,
&cchValue,
NULL,
NULL,
NULL,
NULL);
if (retCode == ERROR_SUCCESS )
{
_tprintf(TEXT("(%d) %s\n"), i+1, achValue);
}
}
}
}
int _tmain(void)
{
HKEY hTestKey;
if( RegOpenKeyEx( HKEY_CURRENT_USER,
TEXT("SOFTWARE\\Microsoft"),
0,
KEY_READ,
&hTestKey) == ERROR_SUCCESS
)
{
QueryKey(hTestKey);
}
return 0;
}

One installation packet only contain the IDE. This packet is intended for people who already have the MinGW tools. The other installation packet contains both gcc and the IDE. It sounds like you have installed the version without any compiler. /pwm On Fri, 25 Jan 2008, Eric wrote: > When I installed the program version 4.9...... it some GNU was not in the > path satement > > > And you get it, my code will not compile. > I tried something in the autoexec.bat file but then my computer win98se > would not reboat and that caused a bit drama > > > (1) I had a look in program folder and could not see any > read-me-get-it-working.txt files > (2) I had a look in the help files and there was no help on "PATH" > > I wonder what sun netbeans is likem I will have to go back to windows XP? > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft > Defy all challenges. Hello all. I recently looked up usage of registry functions to use the
Windows registry to automatically start a program. I decided to make
some test applications to practice using them. This is the code I have
to get the default value of registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE:
#include <windows.h>
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main ()
{
LPDWORD retType;
LPBYTE retDat;
RegQueryValueEx (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE,
"",
NULL,
retType,
retDat,
20);
cout << retType;
cout << retDat;
return 0;
}
This program compiles fine, but when i run it windows terminates it with
an error message. If anyone would like to see the error message, i can
get it. If anyone can possibly come up with an explanation as to why I'm
coming up with a system error, please help!

When I installed the program version 4.9...... it some GNU was not in the path satement And you get it, my code will not compile. I tried something in the autoexec.bat file but then my computer win98se would not reboat and that caused a bit drama (1) I had a look in program folder and could not see any read-me-get-it-working.txt files (2) I had a look in the help files and there was no help on "PATH" I wonder what sun netbeans is likem I will have to go back to windows XP? |
