Hello all, =20 When I compile certain files within a project and get the object files = after a successful compilation I can later use the .o files and delete the oroginal .cpp files and just inlcude the header file for the function declarations. However I wish o be able to use my object files without being imposed to create a project! For example: Suppose I created a project called project.dev and I included to my = project A.cpp, A.h and main.cpp Afetr compilation I've got also now A.o and main.o to my project. I can delete A.cpp and includde the A.o to the object files under = project options -> parameters -> linker, no problem with that. =20 Now, I wish to use both A.h and A.o without including them to a project! This means to put them in the default include directory under C:\Dev-Cpp\include and under C:\Dev-Cpp\lib repectively. Then when I = create a normal source file ( not a project ) I wish to simpley include the A.h = and use the functions in it! When I do this get :=20 [Linker error] undefined reference to `..' Can some one help me please how to configure such issues? =20 Bets regards =20 Coosa |

Either you use the wxWindows package available for Dev-C++ or you download and build the wxWindows framework yourself. If you are going to build the wxWindows framework yourself, you may either download the wxAll packet, or go for wxBase + one platform-specific zip/tar, such as wxGTK (Linux with GTK), wxMac, wxMGL, wxMotif, wxMSW (Microsoft Windows), wxOS2, wxX11. wxWorkshop is a resource editor, i.e. you create dialog boxes and menues with it. /Per W On Sun, 23 Nov 2003, Mohamed Iqbal wrote: > Hi... > > While searching for wxWindow on SourceForge.net I found wxBase. Hi... While searching for wxWindow on SourceForge.net I found wxBase. What is wxBase? Is it necessary to compile wxWindow? I found also wxWorkshop. Has anybody used it before? Mohammed |

You don't mention which package you are thinking about. However, www.wxwindows.org is a good place to check out. /Per W On Sat, 22 Nov 2003, Asfe e wrote: > > Hi All, > > I need to add a GUI to my app. I have seen that Devcpp offers a graphic > package. > Where can I find instructions and sample code to demonstrate how to add it > to my > Project ? > OS: Win2k > IDE : Devcpp ver 4 > > Thanx, > > Seth. > > _________________________________________________________________ > Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* > http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program. > Does SourceForge.net help you be more productive? Hi, Ferdinando: Thanks for your analysis. Thanks for your explanation about "cpp". My OS is Win98. All the compiler files are put in the path c:\hitool.arm\Compiler\pc-cygwin\bin\. Your instinct is right, the compiler is gnu-based, arm-oriented and elf-formatted. That's why their names are of "arm-elf-*" format. There are two IDEs installed in my computer. One is hitool, an off the shelf IDE for arm embedd system. It uses arm-elf-gcc and arm-elf-ld to build projects. And, in c:\hitool.arm\Compiler\pc-cygwin\bin\, only there is make.exe, no arm-elf-make.exe. When hitool works, I can see the command line it uses to call arm-elf-gcc and arm-elf-ld. You said "It calls make clean to let make delete all outdated files of previous compilations", but I dont know why in hitool the compiler doesnt need clean. No clean.exe in the subdirectory. And, why there is "D:\cygwin\" before the path I input? If you need more inforamtion, tell me and I will present. Greetings. Hello, In the menu File/New/Project What's the matter when we click on the C project button and language by = default button ? After this, when we create an other project it's always checked on C++ = project. Is it normal ? Is it a bug ? Thanks for your answer. matisso |

You need to use a typecast.

Hi I have just started out with structures in C.
I have written the following program.I try to read in
a char called c but the program terminates.Can anyone
help me and tell me why.
#include <stdio.h>
typedef struct list
{
int data;
struct list *next;
}ll;
main()
{
ll *head,*p;
int temp;
char c;
head=(ll*) malloc(sizeof(struct list));
printf("the data for head:");
scanf("%d",&head->data);
printf("head=:%d",head->data);
printf("enter the value of c:");
c=getchar();
printf("here:%c",c);
p=head;
system("PAUSE");
return 0;
}
thanks.

You know, WinXP is becoming quite similar to a Unix: Gates said they take a look at BSD... Bye, Ferdinando |

Hi Seth, hi list ! You're right gotoxy() and clrscr() are borland specific functions. If you really need to use them just include "conio.c", it's an (not ANSI standard as far as i know) implementation of this "features" (can be found in \Dev-C++\include). Sorry, but I can't give you an advice with your ASP.net problem (good luck with that). Michel > > Hi all, > > I'm currently using Dev-c-++ version 4. > Does it include the gotoxy function ? Hi all, Im currently using Dev-c-++ version 4. Does it include the gotoxy function ? If Im not mistaken, Its a function that you could use on Borland. Another thing. Im trying to automate the filling process of an ASP.NET web page while using C++. I want to get to a point that allow to fill all the text fileds, check/uncheck buttons and such in one click.
